I'd be more open-minded about the potential of two networks having obtained implicating emails if the source of the rumor was anyone but Newt Gingrich...

For the truth about Benghazi to be revealed and the elaborate cover-up by the Executive Branch to be exposed, there needs to be an immediate strong bi-partisan demand and maybe then the media might finally showcase this most important story to the American public. While there have been voices from both sides of the aisle demanding the facts about Benghazi, due to the upcoming election they are putting party before everything and these bi-partisan voices aren't as loud as they want to be. Sad because its more important to fight the fights worth winning and not just the fights you can win...

Newt is hardly ever wrong on issues such as this...........he has the best inside info in Washington DC - in all of politics for that matter. People trust him and rightfully so.

Yes, his string of ex-wives made the mistake of trusting Newt; then again who wouldn't trust a guy whose head looks like a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade...

To the OP, since this is in the Breaking News forum, I believe you are required via ATS T&C to use the source title as your thread title.

Here is the Source title: Gingrich: Senator told me networks may have White House emails commanding counterterrorism group to stand down on Benghazi rescue.

I see you have added some words and omitted others. Things like: "may have" have been omitted; while things like "damning" have been added.

What's up with that?

The heroes on the ground called for help – Obama did nothing. It Was Dereliction of Duty

Sean Hannity was debating liberal Juan Williams Tuesday on the Benghazi massacre. Hannity revealed this on the audio tapes of Tyrone Woods begging for air support on 9-11,
“My sources tell me they’re pretty damning, Juan. They’re begging for help.”

Tyrone Woods was screaming for air support and Barack Obama did nothing.
Then he lied about it.

Hannity later said there are three tapes the Obama administration is holding onto including audio of Tyrone Woods begging for air support.

Let’s hope the impeachment proceedings begin before Obama leaves office in January.

My concern was with this healine actually:

Besides that the issue for me was simply this - the title was too long to include the important points in a "first see" for the intended audience so it was edited slightly in order to fix the problem of space without substantially altering in any significant way the main content of the news item. For example - the eMails being withheld by the BHO WH are in fact DAMNING ! As for "may have" they DID, in point of fact, withhold crucial information from the American people, and they continue to do so.

So what's the big deal - you must have been the high school snitch - eh?

Why don't you report it to the Moderators..........?

Not being a snitch, just a stickler for facts. You misrepresented the article by omitting the word "may". Your thread title implies it is a fact that networks have yet to be released white house emails and you also chose to pass off as fact that these emails are "damning".

The actual title of the article it this "Gingrich: Senator told me networks may have White House emails commanding counterterrorism group to stand down on Benghazi rescue."
Versus - "Gingrich: networks have more damning WH emails ordering counterterrorism group to stand down.," slightly shortened for lack of space.

Read the response Ms snitch - they DO have the eMails and they ARE damning...........they have the AUDIO TAPES TOO which are even more damning because we HEAR them screaming for help.............AND THEY DO EXIST TOO - even though they are yet to be released by a fearful and reluctant BHO WH team.>

Well if they are not damning let us see them. All of them. Also as former top defense official, Bing West is saying, show us the Order Mr. President. There is a paper trail for all of this and we need to see it now.

If President Obama “gave the directive to make sure we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to do,” there should be written copies of those orders floating all over Washington. Can we see some time- and date-stamped evidence that Obama gave such an order?

Here let me help you; from your OP article:

There is a rumor — I want to be clear, it’s a rumor — that at least two networks have emails from the National Security Adviser’s office telling a counterterrorism group to stand down,” Gingrich said.

In regards to these tapes Hannity refers to; it's nothing but hearsay from a GOP shill.

Hannity revealed this on the audio tapes of Tyrone Woods begging for air support on 9-11, “My sources tell me they’re pretty damning, Juan. They’re begging for help.”

Rumors and hearsay...these are your facts?

I will close by thanking you for calling me names; all the while I have avoided doing the same to you. I suppose it's a liberal thing...you know...being respectful in adult discussions and expecting proven facts and to back up a topic of discussion.

I've been hearing about these emails, as well, today (In fact, you just beat me to the thread).
I am still trying to figure out which two networks have these emails and are sitting on them.
If its NBC or ABC...forget about them ever coming out.

Still, I'm certain the whistle-blowers leaking out the truth about Benghazi...have been waiting for SANDY news to subside before they dump them. I predict tomorrow or Friday...with another big bombshell leak on Monday.

Obama has a problem and it is because of what he said:

(CNSNews.com) -- In light of President Obama's statement in an Oct. 26 interview that the "minute" he found out about the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya, on Sept. 11 he issued a directive to subordinates "to make sure we are securing our personnel," House Armed Services Chairman Buck McKeon (R-Calif.) has sent a letter to Obama demanding that he reveal exactly whom he ordered to do what on that day.

Now remember Obama said he had given this three part directive:

“Number one, make sure that we are securing our personnel and doing whatever we need to. Number two, we're going to investigate exactly what happened so that it doesn't happen again," he said. "Number three, find out who did this so we can bring them to justice. And I guarantee you that everyone in the State Department, our military, the CIA, you name it, had number one priority making sure that [our] people were safe.”

Chairman McKeon has responded saying:

“There appears to be a discrepancy between your directive and the actions taken by the Department of Defense," said in his letter to Obama. "As we are painfully aware, despite the fact that the military had resources in the area, the military did not deploy any assets to secure U.S. personnel in Benghazi during the hours the consulate and the annex were under attack. I find it implausible that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Commander of U.S. Africa Command, and the Commander of U.S. European Command would have ignored a direct order from the Commander in Chief.”

Now McKeon has four specific questions he wants President Obama to answer:

1) “To whom did you issue this first directive and how was this directive communicated to the military and other agencies--verbally or in writing?“

2) "At any time on September 11, 2012, did you specifically direct the military to move available assets into Libya to ensure the safety of U.S. personnel in Benghazi? If so, which assets did you order to Libya?

3) "At any time on September 11, 2012, other than ISR assets, did you provide the authority for the military to take any and all necessary measures to secure U.S. personnel, including specifically the authority to enter Libyan airspace?

4) "Did you have any communication with the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, or any Commanders of regional Combatant Commands regarding military support to U.S. personnel in Benghazi on September 11th? If so could you please describe any recommendations provided to you regarding available military support and any orders you gave them?"

Now he is waiting for a reply.

The fact that the Gingrich's "bomb-shell remark(s)" is a so-called "rumor" it makes no difference with respect to the importance of his comments. I would like to take a moment to remind everyone that Newt Gingrich's main source (I say main bec. there are others) is a well known and very reliable United States Senator.................!!! Its expected that it will all come out in a few days or so - maybe less.

Quoting Vitruvian - "Newt is hardly ever wrong on issues such as this...........he has the best inside info in Washington DC - in all of politics for that matter. People trust him and rightfully so."

It's been talked about already how there was a growing terror threat and that's why the Consulate had requested and received extra security.
