Is it outlandish to be this excited for frankenstorm Sandy's destruction?

I see this not as a tragedy, but a purification .

Pardon?

What do you mean purification? Are you getting at some kind of cleansing? If so, I leave you to your delusions.

We are all entitled to our opinion, just as your feelings towards it is in fact a self-manifested delusion too. Nothing is right or wrong when it comes to personal feelings and/or opinions. Thank you

I neither said you were not entitled to your opinion or allowed to share them. I stated i would not participate in them.

Peace

Holy Mother of God.

That's insane...

I hope that everyone is going to be ok.

My thoughts to everyone in Sandy's path.

Be safe.

sgspecial19, I feel like its a EA*RTH response to the GOM oil leak that modified the temps of the ocean in that region where the loop current was once flowing normally but is not now. These currents in the oceans carry weather. So I am not surprised as it was destined to begin to take effects on the entire world. Remember the massive drought that just passed due to that belt being too high up near Canada not bringing down enough moister all related to GOM and may even be possible radioactive particles in the atmosphere carrying stronger charged elements now allowing these types of hurricanes to keep strength so far north.

It is inevitable to believe radioactive particles are in our troposphere since the late April 2011 fukushima meltdown, but on top of that, the fact that this storm is a mix of a hurricane, cyclone, AND a blizzard is not presumably mother nature's complete work.

Oh contraire mon frere!

Basically this event is all out of our control, we cannot alter the situation. But how we FEEL about it is what I mean by our perspective. We can control our feelings and how we interpret this situation in a positive or negative manner.

Then if I may ask, what sort of positive do you expect from this storm?

Btw, I'm on the left coast. Warm and windy day for us. I enjoy a good storm as well.

Despite the destruction that will occur, the most important things are the non-materialistic things for personal growth: knowledge, feelings/emotions, understanding, and the fact that destruction does lead to creation in a figurative sense. I'm not about the terror, but for the experience to find meaning in why certain events happen for a particular reason.

Doom and gloom is spoon fed to the masses by American mainstream media, but those who don't watch television (like me) tend to think for themselves and see this incoming distaster a lot more compassionately

I mean its more like sports coverage these days. And pray tell were you special self gets all your info about the weather?

No really I am not without compassion. If watching the news gives you the doom and gloom....just turn down the volume and watch. They cant fake that my friend.

Remember I told you I don't watch television? it's low frequency poison brother. And the internet is my favorite resource; my opinion on this monster storm goes along with the many other people who believe HAARP is manipulating the storm. There are many other threads containing it, and I will not discuss it here due to off-topic and my thread can get removed. But there are answers for you in regardes to that with the help of the ATS search bar

Now if something like this was observed it may sway 1s mind to consider the HAARP effects..

I agree brother, but remember this thread isn't about the HAARP conspiracy, I just don't want the thread to get closed, it's annoying when it happens

I say YES, it's all you can do, if the situation is out of control, you can choose how to respond. If someone's roof blows off, they may be short on the emotional control and perspective.

I'm from Long Island, NY, where most of the terror inflicted by the monster storm is going to take place. The preliminary events already have most people up in arms spewing fear and other petty emotions. My perspective of any dire situation is to always keep a clear mind and be proactive of what is to come.

Also, I'm under the assumption HAARP had given Sandy the boost it needed to become a monster storm, *but that is listed in a few other threads already* so not going to talk about it in this thread!

Basically, this once in a lifetime event for a monster storm arriving to my hometown is making me feel stoked, how do you guys feel?

May I ask if you've ever weathered (no pun intended) out a severe storm as even 3/4 's the size of Sandy? Do you own your own home and have you accumulated "valuables" over the years? Are you by yourself or do you have "significant others" to worry about, including precious little ones? A vehicle? Do you value your own life? If you answered NO to all these questions, then I will assume you are either a masochist or very possibly just a very ignorant person!

if i was there i would be very frightened but excited at the same time, we had a bad storm here a few years back and we had no power so we went to the pub, we live by the sea, there were quite a few in the pub that night which had candles lit every where, but the pumps were not working for the guinness!

only the irish would go out on a night like that and we got a taxi!

but Sandy? no pub would get you out in that weather! i pray for everyone, our brothers and sisters in America x
