Hi guys and girls, I'm from the UK do we have any weather experts on here who may know how this storm could affect the UK within the next week or so? Never really expierenced a storm I was too young to remember the 1980s hurricane that hit the UK. Best of luck and stay safe people!

I live in NE PA and getting ready for work. Weather is forecasted to be rain and lots of it! Wind gust of up to 90mph and about 200mi to the SW of me they are calling for 2ft of snow! WOW! As the storm rolls in I'll be sure to take some photos but the major part of the storm is expected until later this evening into tomorrow night. We expect some flooding too which for this area is pretty common.

My job gave us the call off option so I'm staying home. It's pretty steady rain and a nice wind in #baltimore right now. Very cold.

According to this map, Annapolis MD should be getting slammed.

I just spoke with someone there and they said its typical rainfall with light winds...

WTF?

I live in Pike County, about 12 west of Milford in Dingamn Township. Currently in work in Cresco, Barret Township, amout 10 north of Stroudsburg. No rain yet, but winds are starting to pick up. Got all our supplies in order - we went three days without power after Irene and survived that pretty well. Just hoping that wasn't a practice run for this!!

Stay safe, warm and dry, my friends. I'll report in when I can...

Late afternoon, evening, and night is when the damaging effects are expected to begin moving into this area. The rain however, is "normal" for a heavy rainfall now. lol

Hello Moon, I am in the Boston area and can tell you right now we have heavy cloud cover, mild rain, and winds are sustained at about 20mph with wind gusts around 40mph. I still have power and there is barely anyone out since they have cancelled and shut down almost everything. Other than tree damage and power outages we will be fine. Try not to worry too much and get yourself stressed out. I'm sure your daughter will be fine. Take care

I hope this storm isn't as bad as they say it may be. Be careful if you are around the areas being effected. I have not seen a track of possible storm directions lately, all the media posts is the worst case as the only direction. Last I say five out of seven showed it hitting the coast where the media says it is going to hit. I think there is still a chance it will not hit....Hopefully.

Please don't share this storm, keep it all. I don't want a snowstorm or severe rainstorm over here by Lake Superior. I don't need to personally experience it, I will believe you guys who are experiencing it. I suppose I should run to the gas station and get some gas for the tractor. I wish those who are in the path of this storm the best of luck. Keep safe and don't drink to much.

Doubt it, looks like it is going the wrong way.

I remember the '87 storm well, watched the caravan do backflips across the lawn!

I'm just outside Philly near the Delaware, New Jersey, PA border...there has been a steady rain here since yesterday the ground is saturated. The wind has just started picking up and the beautiful fall leaves are all falling from the trees......... quite pretty actually.

They are saying it is to get worse around 2 this afternoon it is only 9:20 am right now.

Over here it's on it's way. Very eerie out. Some gusts of wind and on and off showers but the entire sky is a scary gray.

Where is "over here"?

Got the same skies/conditions in Monroe county, PA, wondering if we're in the same area...

I'm fairly close to Manhattan and right now it is still just a bit windy with some rain. The water is really high. I'd expect flooding in Liberty State Park and Ellis Island. Water is already encroaching on the Atlantic City boardwalk.
The storm is said to be 500 miles wide so a lot of places are going to get something.

Wall Street is closed as are schools and transportation. I'd expect the same tomorrow unless the storm picks up speed and is out of here faster than anticipated. I've even had people wonder why stuff is closed! Don't people just know how to stay home? Is your daily mundane routine worth your life and the life of another? Right now it's not bad but I mean come on people...

I pulled this satellite image off of www.theblaze.com. Notice the eye of Horus looking on from the right. Since I can't post my own thread yet i thought this was a good place for this. If it needs moved please do so; but wow look at it! It is unmistakable.
