The MSM one sided Narrative Continues.

In Syria the truce was broken by the Free Syrian Army Jihadist/Islamist branch this weekend by setting of a car bomb in Damascus near a playground an FSA Islamist branch took responsibility for the car bombing but no doubt that the western mainstream with the likes of CNN started fingering and blaming Assad as so did the supporters of the Free Syrian Army.

Yesterday Our Canadian Major news outlet CBC posted the news article regrading the broken truce but with a familiar tune.
No reason to stop

Joe Holliday said neither side has an incentive to halt fighting, noting that rebels have disrupted regime supply routes to the northern provinces of Aleppo and Idlib.

"The regime can't accept the current military status quo without a fight and the rebels have no reason to since they believe they have the momentum," said Holliday, a researcher at the Institute for the Study of War in Washington.

Notice the Narrative?
the rebels have no reason to since they believe they have the momentum,"

Since they believe they have the momentum with the help and assistance from the Islamist branches i am sure Joe Holliday hasn't forgotten about them at all.

The recent gains in Syria weren't achieved by the Free Syrian Army but rather the Islamist Branches and there is a lot of them in Syria along side with the FSA. Including Veteran Islamic Chechen fighters.

Who captured Maarat Al Numan? it was captured by the Al-Numan, Jabal Al-Zawiya Brigades two Islamist/Jihadist groups which are quietly ignored by the western mainstream news outlets.

Who is Joe Holliday?

Joe Holliday is an American Iraqi war former solider who sold himself to the government which is why he joined the Institute for the Study of War.

Who were behind on Creating the Institute for the Study of War?

The Institute for the Study of War is an Institute think tank founded in 2007 by Kimberly Kagan. ISW describes itself as a non-partisan non-profit think tank which seeks to provide research and analysis specifically regarding issues of defense and foreign affairs.

The Institute for the Study of War and its President Dr. Kimberly Kagan were some of the first and strongest supporters of the controversial 'surge' strategy in Iraq.

The Institute for the Study of War has made several Projects and documentations which includes, Afghanistan Project, ISW's Afghanistan Project monitors and analyzes the effectiveness of Afghan and Coalition operations to disrupt enemy networks and secure the population, while also evaluating the results of Afghanistan’s 2010 Presidential election.

The Iraq Project at the ISW produces fully documented reports that monitor and analyze the changing security and political dynamics within Iraq. Iran, Libya and Syria.
Its not surprising to see Neoconservatives think tank using former soldiers like Joe Holliday to speak on the behalf of government controlled think tanks.

The Institute for the Study of War is the same think tank in which one of its Analyst in a voice of america interview proclaimed that the reason that the Jihadists are in Syria is because they turned against Assad, citing no sources for here own claims.

Voice Of America YouTube channel should have the video of her unless they already removed it.

This is the CBC news article.
Syrian cease fire in tatters after full day of bombings, gunfire

Rebels came under shelling and an airstrike by regime forces Saturday as Syria's cease-fire continued to unravel. (Narciso Contreras/Associated Press)

The caption above the child solider reads. The picture is quite telling and emotional the Free Syrian Army are using child soldiers and have been doing so since the conflict started in 2011.

The FSA have been using children in there assigned protest rallies as an emotional impact on the western/eastern audience.

This child solider seems to be younger then a 17/18 year old, and from what i have seen from the photo he is not carrying an AK 47.

It seems to be an redesigned shotgun.

Russia: Syrian Rebels Have US-Made Anti-Aircraft Weapons,
U.S. not supplying Stinger missiles to Syrian rebels: Pentagon

US Coordinates MANPADS Supplies to Syrian Rebels - Russia
Russian Military Chief: US supplying anti-aircraft missiles to Syrian rebels

“The General Staff has information that the militants, who are fighting against Syrian government troops, are armed with the portable air defence systems of various countries, including the Stinger of U.S. production,” he underlined.

The denial from Pentagon.

U.S. not supplying Stinger missiles to Syrian rebels: Pentagon

"Who supplied them must still be determined," Interfax news agency quoted him as saying.

A U.S. defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, told Reuters the United States was unable to confirm that the rebels had acquired U.S. Stingers.

YouTube Video says otherwise an American Made Stringer Been fired by the FSA on an Empty Ground apparently claiming they destroyed 72 tanks.

American made Stringer.

The stringer seems brand new.

Been hearing the same here in Australia.. Funny how everything gets put back on Assad even though the FSA are the obvious group who broke the truce. I really don't care anymore. I am 100% behind Assad and I hope the terrorists are eradicated.

The UK press has also been banging the drum that the FSA are 'freedom fighters'.

No one is buying it, as evidenced by online newspaper comments.

Sadly there is no longer a free press in the West. Just a propaganda arm of corporate/governmental interests.

The weapon doesn't resemble any of the AK series shotguns, it could be an AK74, maybe of local production.

The weapon the boy is holding is a Chinese Type 56 version of the standard 7.62x39 AK. There is a wide strap wrapped over the front sight tower.

It looks staged in any case. No sensible person, not even a US controlled FSA terrorist would stand up and take a photo in a supposed battle. Who on earth would cover up the front sight post if they were using the weapon? Nobody, unless the weapon was fake.

LOL No, it is just a standard type 56 with underfolder bayonet. The type 56 is being used heavily by both sides. It is a standard issue weapon of the Syrian Army.

One of the stories that was covered here shows weapons coming in from Iraq.. Also seen are large bags of NATO bullets which have been distributed so they cannot be used in Syrian guns by regime forces. Either way, the weapons are flowing in.

That's not an “American made Stinger” . Not even close.

I can't tell for sure from this video, but it's most likely a 'Kornet' anti tank missile, or a 'Milan'.

I wish i had the time and the software to sit and analyse the Libya media footage to see if i can match free libyan army members to the free syrian army members. I bet most of them are the same people and they`ve been spotted by MSM in both "rebellions" but Joe Bloggs of Anywhere Street wouldnt notice the faces of random "scary muslims" since the only thing he sees is anti GADDAFI / ASSAD propaganda.

The FSA are state-sponsored terrorists, with command and control running out of Washington and Langley (Denver?).

Great thread OP

It's sad that the rebel terrorists are using children and it's disgusting that our media is still trying to portray this as a rebellion by the people of Syria when the majority of the fighters aren't even Syrian. To top it off the West is supporting this...how surprising

It is a bit rich that Russia (state owned media et al) is complaining that the US are supplying arms to Syria. Syria is a lucrative client of the Russian arms exporters.

At the root is of this are allegations that Syrian rebels are fielding Stinger missiles. This is old news and the culprit was initially described as Turkey. You can bet that the Turks are playing a game here and will be engineering an outcome which suits them AND does not help the Kurds.

The situation in Syria is a muddle. Just like Iraq, you can bet many a brutal score is being settled between rival groups. The dictator Assad and his cronies are just another rival in the civil war.

Regards

It's an AK47 with the shoulder strap wrapped around the end of the gun.

Or not.
