So, I see haarp, and a bigger picture of what they're doing here.

Ok 5.0 got bump down to a 4.6 now they must be getting worryed.

Is anyone else seeing this? I'm seeing 'swarms' or what looks like it ALL ACROSS THE US right now... I'm seeing Utah, Yellowstone, Arkansas, Tennessee, southern and northern California, Idaho... A lot of them. Everywhere. Did something sleeping just wake up?

EDIT Haha I think I read my phone wrong. Never mind. I am the only one seeing that I believe. Totally just freaked myself out.

I am getting my info here. They are updating closer to real time than other sites I have come across so far.

They just updated and it looks like 21 minutes ago there were 2 other aftershocks at the same time as the 5.0M that were 4.6M and 4.7M

In simpler terms and ramifications,

The Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) is a section of the plate that is subducting one under the other. It has the capability to produce up to a 9 mag. Very similar structures are the cause of the Sumatra disaster, and also Japan.

The last known event on the CSZ was in January of 1700. It sent a Tsunami to Japan and dropped our coastline by around 3 meters if I remember correctly. Very nasty stuff. It could either rupture in a section(s) .. or simply unzip along the whole length from just below the current event to Northern California.

We have 2 dogs 4 cats 5 ducks 14 peacocks 58 chickens and 21 cows...none of them are acting strange....ha (been into our homemade wine again)

Is it weird that i kind of enjoyed that earthquake last night? I've been in little ones, a slight shake for a few seconds, and while this one wasn't big in terms of damage; i would call it a medium, and is the strongest one i've yet been in. The shaking went on far longer than the other odd minor earthquakes i've felt before over the course of my life. It was sort of scary, but exciting in a way too.

I kept thinking last night i felt the earth moving again, hours afterwards, but i'm guessing it was probably my imagination. Could have been minor aftershocks, but the ground felt like it were stretching or shifting slowly in some way, but again i'm thinking it is probably just me imagining things. The awesome power of mother Earth. Glad no one was injured that i have heard of. So beyond that, the experience was quite fun and enjoyable, but maybe i'm just some sort of twisted individual to think that, lol idk.

Anyhoo, thanks to everyone for linking all the relevant info. and charts and news sources last night.

It was all very surreal and spooky in a sense too.

We have two dogs, have not noticed anything unusual here. Right now they are both sacked out in front of the woodstove with doggie snores (thanks you two!)

Seems like the whole west coast is lighting up :/

Just finished reading the thread, so tell me are all of the little ones along the San Andreas faultline caused from the 7.7? Are these before shocks or are they pressure releases?

Yeah my dogs were unimpressed as well. They just lay there staring at me blankly, seemed indifferent to anything. They probably wondered what i was freaking out about though, hahaha, they had that quizzical look they have sometimes when i act strange, which is not an uncommon occurrence.

I was in the 7.1 that hit Washington state a few years back. It was deep like this one and really wasnt a major deal. The deeper the less severe. It says this one was 2.5 miles where ours was over 5 miles deep so this probably was a good shaker. The buildings and structures are made to withstand this. I will admit, the afterschocks freaked me out more. Nothing like being in bed and be awakened by the whole building rolling around.
