Who says I am apart of the left? I certainly didn't. Nice assumption

I am part of the side that doesn't accept bs from things like this. You go ahead though. I care less

So you don't accept the truth even when it's in front of your face? That's a poor way to go through life. Dangerous, too.

Good one, again, Xuen! Thanks for bringing more light to the eyes of ATS!

Many of these "sting" stories are set ups as we know.

Some even use actors and fake identities.

But this one seems genuine.

I wonder if anyone who "took the advice" is having 2nd thoughts today ?

Let me guess, the ones where it's Republicans caught trying to commit voter fraud are set ups, but the ones where it's Democrats are genuine?

Come on now, try harder to be biased.

Set up or not, it's a simple question of whether they were deliberately intending to commit voter fraud or not. If the intention is there, I don't care how they are led into it. They should not be capable of this to begin with, their moral and ethical opinions should make this anathema to them. If they are led into it, as a trap, they choose to go along. Therefore - Dem or Repub - they should all face the same response of disgust!

But, we all know that when it's a Republican caught doing it then it must be a set up, right?

I tried to renew my Drivers License in State X and they wouldn't let me renew my license even though I had my birth certificate, social security card, DD214, military id.....

They said I needed two "utility bills or magazine subscriptions" to prove who I was. I was puzzled....now I know WHY the Democrats made that requirement.

VOTER FRAUD.

CBS is reporting this story.
Strange.

No, not really strange at all.

David Rhodes was named President of CBS News in February 2011.

Rhodes was a catalyst behind the creation and launch of the highly-regarded "CBS This Morning" program, including the development of a new studio and newsroom at the legendary CBS Broadcast Center in New York. He also spearheads CBS News' multi-platform, division-wide approach to major news events such as the Democratic and Republican National Conventions, Election Night, Presidential Debates, and special events.

Prior to joining CBS News, Rhodes held senior roles at Bloomberg and at Fox News. At Bloomberg he was head of US Television, responsible for all programming, development, editorial, and newsgathering. He made significant changes in the network's talent and programming, relaunching the financial news service's flagship cable channel in 2009.

Rhodes began his career as a Production Assistant at the newly-launched Fox News Channel in 1996, where he later became Vice President of News. At the network he managed coverage of three presidential elections, wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, hurricanes including Katrina, and was the channel's Assignment Manager on the news desk the morning of September 11, 2001.

Just sayin'.

This video does look, so far anyway, to be legit... I remain highly skeptical because everything else from O'keefe has been utter trash. That tends to be the case with known liars, which is unfortunate because if this is legit it won't go very far because of the connection to O'Keefe. Well, outside of wingnut circles anyway.

this is like a bank robber coming out of a bank he just robbed of 10,000 dollars (republicans)...and out on the sidewalk a passerby (democrats) picks up a dropped 5 dollar bill and holds it up at the same time the police arrive, and the passerby gets arrested for bank robbery.
o'keefe has zero credibility

Someone mentioned an unedited version of the video... Even if it is unedited there is a logical reason for this guy to offer this advice... Including gauging the intent of the investigator, gathering information that may relayed to the police later on.

The fact that he resigns does not imply he is guilty... His father is running for office, it is far better to bow out and not cause a ruckus, even if innocent. News tends to only get the sensational part of a story, not the correction.

Could this be a case of voter fraud, idk, I cannot simply from a video determine intent... If charges are fought up a court will decide, and if it turns out to be the case I'll be here to condemn my left leaning brother as I would a right leaning one...

I am much more concerned with voter fraud that happens at the volunteers, counting, and secretary of state levels.... Polling place faud is statistically non existent, notoriously difficult in terms of time, money, and energy and unless an army is doing it, very little effect on the election outcome.

I am really worried about this country, all our representatives are on the take, how did it come to this?

He struck me as being unstable and joking, and for only that reason did I humor him.

OH! He humored him?

Now that's funny, this guy should stop digging.

You can tell this guy doesnt want to get his hands dirty, but at the same time giving advice on how to committ voter fraud.

Watch the video and he says it himself. What more do you want people?

Thanks for bringing this to light OP.

More fraud comming out of Obama headquarters.

Bingo, sir. My thoughts exactly.

A couple of questions about O'Keefe for some of you who may know the answer: does O'keefe only attack Democrats? I have no issue with that as long as he's catching criminal activity (and, imo, this was definitely voter fraud).

Does Fox News pay O'keefe to come on Fox maybe once a quarter/year kind of like Judge Napolitano or does he give his footage to whoever wants/pays for a copy?

I praise O'keefe for exposing this but I would love to see the same thing done to Republicans as well as Democrats. I want to see corrupt politicians in orange jump suits before I die.

Lima-1, out.

I suppose the lady working for DNC in Houston, Tx that was signing voters up with Florida mail-in ballots is ok too? She was enabling people to vote in Texas and Florida, and the dems were standing behind her until people started the outcry. It seems to be going on all over. Then here on ATS are the liberals defending this type of fraud ... Just sell out to the NWO already.

why would you talk with a stranger about voter fraud.

especially when you're helping to run your fathers campaign.

but it shows allot.

if he was honest he would have taken him aside and asked him why he wants to commit fraud and explain to him what a great country they live in.

where all have a voice in determining their future and that it wouldn't be fair or respectful to the people who have died upholding those values and to the families who wish their son or daughter was with them every Christmas, thanksgiving and birthday that goes by.

it would probably seal the deal for his father showing the public what an honest son he raised.

quality is just like everything else decent in the world, a rare thing.

That isnt the issue James O'keefe does one thing and one thing well, severely and selectively edit video. Every single one of his "videos" has turned out to be a blatant and completely edited video lie. This will be the same it will be found to have been heavily edited and utter garbage.

In every case of these assertions Veritas has released hours of unedited tape. None have changed the context. None. But people still claim it all the time...

Fact is, with the attention spans of the American people, most don't want to watch hours of footage. This is proven by the fact that they immediately take what media matters or the like says and spout it off as fact later in forums...obviously having never watched the uncut footage as they would have realized the edited footage does indeed portray the situation in the same context as it happened.

It's hosers like this that say they stand for truth, but constantly take someone else's opinion for it rather than investing the time themselves to actually delve into it.

I dont know the answer to your okeefe question.

And I think it would be a good thing for our country if we were able to get rid of all the scumbags in office.

I think we would all like to see them get what they deserve, after all the hell that they have brought upon us.

Orange suits-Smashing Rocks.

C'mon, peeps, whether you think O'Keefe is a scumbag or Moran's son is a scumbag, the real issue is the voter fraud. It doesn't matter what politician you vet, there are skeletons everywhere. Voter fraud has occurs in every state, no matter what side of the aisle you sit on.

ACORN has been indicted in several states for committing voter fraud (18, I think.), but Jesse Ventura lined out how Bush "stole" the election in 2004 with a very sophisticated computer system.

Bottom line, IMO, is that as Americans, when someone says there is smoke, we should investigate to see if there is a fire. It is our duty as Americans to vet our candidates and be sure that ALL officials conduct public business in a legal fashion.

Some of you may disagree with me, but I fully believe the Tea Party movement has awoken a sleeping sector of this nation. While you may not like their politics, I think more people than ever before are standing up and speaking an opinion on what is occurring in DC along with local politics.

Finally, while you may not agree with my political leanings, I will still stand up and defend your right to disagree with me. I hope you will do the same for me. Let's take the video for what it is, an idiot kid that may have humored an "undercover" person with ideas to commit voter fraud. Or an idiot kid that spoke with the idea of helping someone commit voter fraud. Did he break any laws? I don't know... Did he have a blatant disregard for doing the right thing? Yes, he did. He should have resigned immediately for this is a big black-eye for his father's campaign. But here's the question for all of you: Would you want this person working in YOUR campaign office for YOU? Do YOU believe him to have YOUR best interests at heart?
