I think my vote will be a write-in for Ron Paul

Who's with me?

I just can't cast a vote for Obama or Romney, the whole thing is a sham. Gary Johnson is ok but no Ron Paul.

I know some of you are with me.

And RP has selected who, as his running mate?

I'm with you. I'm not voting for someone I don't like.

I also cannot vote for either of the bammy/bommy twins. They are both slimy liars. I am leaning more towards Johnson atm sice RP officially declined to run as a third party candidate.

It doesn't matter who you vote for....

It's already been decided.

I'm voting for Jill Stein. I agree with most of what she stands for. Anyone who would stand-up for what they believe in and get arrested, has my vote. We need more people to run for office that have the conviction to say what they believe in, and not worry about what the political establishment thinks. I could never get myself to vote for Romney considering he has changed his position on issues just to satisfy his base.

I like Ron Paul, but he should have had the conviction to change his party affiliation.

Great feedback. I guess the only thing that matters for those of us who vote outside of the 2 party system, is that we vote for who we honestly want to see as President and are true to ourselves.

All of our votes will be protest votes and they will all count for something.

If you're going to do that then why bother voting at all?

If a candidate doesn't specifically notify the state that they're running as a write-in candidate the votes that are written in are not counted. It's not like you'll tune in to your local news station to see 'five votes for write-in candidate X' in the results. Your vote won't be counted. However, if you vote closer to your ideals, say Gary Johnson or Jill Stein your vote will be counted.

I equate write-in votes to attempting to speak while covering your mouth with your own hand.

You don't think there will be thousands of Ron Paul write-in votes that will get counted and reported? You might be right.

I can't vote Romney or Obama, my conscience won't let me.

I will be taking the rest of the ballot seriously. I vote absentee and by mail. I already have my ballot and plan on researching each candidate and amendment before I cast my votes.

I love Ron Paul and I'm a huge supporter but at this point he knows he's not going to be President so I wish he would endorse Gary Johnson and merge both camps of independent voters to give Johnson a real shot at the office.

But then again, it's not like I trust the results from our new electronic voting machines.

So in conclusion I propose it's all just a show. Even American Idol is rigged

I think there is still some hope on the state and local levels.

No. Romney and obama are the same. Both are slimy, evil, shills for the corporations and the elite. I cannot, in good conscience, vote for either.

I'm just going to picket near the polling place with a sign that says, "Don't vote the lesser of TWO Evils"
Write in "None of the Above"!

Write-in votes are never counted in the final tally unless specifically requested by the individual. If write-in votes were counted then Mickey Mouse would win many, many elections.

Oh, I should probably mention my cautionary tale.
I voted for Andre Marrou years ago.
Excitedly waiting to see how many votes he received, I was appalled to see in the paper the next day that
he received -O- votes!

I marched down to the Board of Elections and demanded an explanation. I said he should have received at least ONE. I was informed that candidates receiving below some arbitrary number were "donated" to the candidate that carried the county.

I tore my voter registration card up then and there and requested to be removed from the rolls so that I would not be called for jury duty.

I live in another county now, and voted Ron Paul as a write-in last election, the first time I voted since my outrage.
I have never been called for jury duty.
