You still think the world will be good for everyone after the war? I have a feeling that the elite will mess up everything again if allowed to com out.

I don't think Elite will be allowed to survive underground, the whole point I am making is that
something a whole lot more powerful than our Elite will make sure they never survive.

Probably something like earthquake technology will cause the underground cities to be
crushed. This giving "meek" on the surface a chance.

I am definitely against the nutcases promoting war thoughtlessly. And, for reasons of spiritual convictions, I do not think killing strangers is OK. Especially for money, oil, or fanatical beliefs.

It is kind of strange that all three major monotheistic religions share the book that said "do not kill" but tend to overlook something about it.

Apparently their Supreme Being did not make itself quite clear.

Down on Earth, it clear that the war hysteria part of the Israel-Iran issue is in the West challenging China and Russia. (Which does not make the Iranian's fanatics right - nor absolve their government from siding with Assad.)

Syria thing is complicated, when people first started rising up against Assad
I thought hey this is good. But then all of a sudden you got these Jihadis
backed by Saudis and Western intelligence and satellites.

There is no way this will end good for Syrian people, US will install a
puppet government and use Syria to attack Iran.

I am against war . Governments wanting to kill other people over disagreements or because of what people think may happen just shows a primitive mindset.

Religion isn't the problem. Dumbass people and their fanatical views are.

Not 100% right from my point of view. The knowledge/views should evolve like other knowledge or it is just fundamentalistic and untrue. Give me a spiritual knowledge center where people really connect with each other and something more and throw away the human dogma. But I agree that some followers of religon could think more about what they are reading and not be brainwashed by their egomind views.

^This. Same thing with anti-gun folks, guns don't kill people-people kill people. Same with religion, it doesn't kill, people kill and use it as an instrument, same with guns.

Politicians and their wars for Israel. How about start bringing jobs back to America? Increase minimum wage? How about giving healthcare to every citizen of the USA? How about making education free to every Citizen? How about educating these citizens so they can create a great future for their children in the USA? No, no, no, Iran is making nuclear weapons, North Korea is unstable we gotta do something about it, lets free Syria, we are still bringing democracy to Afghanistan and Iraq is more stable now...Where is a President whose priority is American? Right, one doesn't exit. All these politicians talk about loving America and being such good Patriots, but at the same time having millions invested in Chinese firms, exporting jobs overseas and putting Americans out of work. How come I pay India to study in America? Anyone use those "MyLab" in College? Guess what, MyLab workers are in India. But, hey! Join the military now be one in a million, be a patriot now! :-)

I agree that the Israel vs Iran thing is on most peoples minds, at least somewhat. It's like a rain cloud. Just like other previous conflicts that our fathers and grandfathers experienced.

Except nowadays we have access to a lot more information from many sources.

Overall, the feeling is the same now and then.

The present conflict goes back a long ways. Far as I can tell, the most obvious is 1948 when Israel was created. The arab world in that region erupted in war in reaction to it. But it actually goes further back than that. If I recall, Britain had a hand in it over the past few hundred years. And the arabs had a hand in it too some 1000 years ago. It's a ball of yarn and really confusing.

People eventually decide whether to sit on the fence or choose a side.

Me, I'm on the fence. I don't agree with the arabs wanting to kill zionists or remove them from the middle east. I don't agree with the zionists being prejudiced towards arabs and hunting em down like cattle or fencing em in. Bottom line, I see evil on both sides. I wish there was a middleground, but there's just so much momentum going into it from the past 1000 years that I don't see a good end.

I admit I have to learn more about the history. I get lazy.

I can say though that the Gaza Strip is a mega joke. It's about 7/52 the land area of the smallest US state (excluding water). If it was considered a country, its population density would be in the top 5. It has the 7th highest population growth in the world. It's completely walled in and essentially at war with Israel. But does anybody have to wonder why? We essentially have a people that're fenced in like sheep and they're madly reproducing/overcrowding and have no where to go and blame Israel.

Some useful links:
en.wikipedia.org - Gaza Strip...
en.wikipedia.org - West Bank...
en.wikipedia.org - Israel...
en.wikipedia.org - 1948 Arab–Israeli War...
en.wikipedia.org - Israel–United States relations...

en.wikipedia.org - Palestine...
en.wikipedia.org - Palestinian rocket attacks on Israel...
en.wikipedia.org - Hamas...
en.wikipedia.org - Yasser Arafat...
en.wikipedia.org - Politics of Israel...

The goal should be read the history. All of it. Major homework assignment.

Would you be surprised if I said I agree with you somewhat, and yet if you and I
could snap our fingers and make everyone atheists Jews, Muslims Christians and
all of Asians.

Would that suddenly somehow end all the wars and make good prevail ???

I think not, I think not big time.

Maybe it would not spell the end of war,but the removal of religion from the equation would certainly remove one of the excuses/justifications that have caused senseless bigots to initiate countless, needless conflicts down through the centuries.

"religion" has been "dead" since its inception.

i took the following [slightly out of context] 'quote' from the wiki isreal link supplied above ...

on 14 May 1948 David Ben-Gurion, the Executive Head of the World Zionist Organization declared "the establishment of a Jewish state to be known as the State of Israel".

Neighboring Arab states invaded the next day.

the design for 'isreal's' flag was so graciously donated by family rothchild, who, coincidentally own over 80% of the property there.

One reason ok. One reason from countless reasons is child's play. Mother Teresa would never march in an "anti war rally" She would only march in peace rallys. Much the same way, being anti religion to solve the problem of conflict is like pissing in the wind. (there is some apparent dispute on the accuracy of the teresa quote. but in ANY case it IS wise)

People will find reasons for anything that supports their wish. Change their wish, and they will come up with any excuse for peace.. INCLUDING religion.

What should people BE doing.
Not
what should people NOT be doing.

That's the real question.
