What is funny, i have just watched a video from nasa claiming that this is part of the martian soil...even though clearly this is not a natural rock or stone i have ever seen.

Like it says in the video, NASA implanted the idea that everything found would be natural or part of the rover.
Im sure thats why they havent really discussed it. They must have seen the other object below it?

Thats kind of what ive been thinking. We are slowly getting the mass used to the idea of 'strange objects' and eventually one thing will lead to another, and BAM "by the way, aliens are real"

I would love to agree with you on that because I am also seeing a resemblance but I'm gonna have to go with Pareidolia for the time being.
