We don't allow the trading and betting of points, and seriously can't endorse a bet of this nature either.

For one thing it's disrespectful to our well rounded members that are fully integrated members of the community and manage to somehow "get along" for three and a half years at a sprint without the sporadic appearences and taunts of posters like Carseller and EdSinger encouraging this bet.

Really, what do people like that have to lose with a bet like this anyway?

Who think's they'll be here on Dec 2, or Jan 2 or for the duration of 2005, 2006 and 2007 anyway? I hope I'm wrong, but the willingness to even make such a bet on their part says I'm not. They clearly care nothing for the community of abovetopsecret.com except as a timely outlet for their spam during an election.

This bet is disgusting, and speaks volumes of those making the offer.

If Bush wins, I won�t post in the science forum for a year. If Kerry wins, then you won�t post in the political forum for a year. Deal?

Look that is crap man, I have already said that I came here for something else, look at my membership date. As for the bet being bad, well maybe so, maybe we should change it banned from the political forum. I dunno but it seems harmless enough. I mean most here would be glad to see me go wouldnt they?


I ahve been a member of another forums for years and from my post you can tell I was not that conformatable with the bet, but since I truly feel that this election is that important, I will stand by my words....

Bush will win, no doubt about it, so I don't see myself being gone. The main purpose was to see how much support Kerry actually has, or whether it was just hate for Bush.

I am not holding anyone to their bet.

Politics never ends, so I can assure you I'm not going anywhere. I don't remember how I found this place, but I used to post all the time at RightNation.com formally CelebrityIdiots.com. I can tell you that this is much more interesting!

Hmmm... Looks like I may lose this bet, but of course, its all up in the air right now.

If Bush is officially declared winner, I will leave and this will be my last post to Above Top Secret. I'm actually not going to bother coming back. If Bush takes office again, I have no reason to keep up with the amount of hell he is about to unleash upon the world. All I can say is, hope you're above 26 years of age.
