OK, I'm just adding my 2-cents regarding ATCM (Ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine) that is cheap, can readily be made for very little money (or purchased commercially) and has millions of people worldwide that can attest to the validity of it being very effective in alleviating or eliminating many common ailments, illnesses and autoimmune disorders; even cancer. I can personally attest to its many benefits, as well as the six people I've introduced it to over the past year.

If you've never heard of Kombucha Tea, research it like I did. It's not a miracle cure. But what it does is, it detoxifies the liver and corrects the acidic imbalances most of us have, due to poor eating habits and Big Pharma poisons - plus all the toxins found in our tap water, food, air, etc. A more balanced (less acidic) body pH goes a long way in allowing the body to heal itself. Kombucha Tea does just that! Also consider taking some ALA (alpha lipoic acid) for chelating heavy metals from the body (even the brain) and you too, may find yourself feeling a whole lot better, even if you don't have any noticeable health issues.

On average, I brew about 6 gallons on a regular basis (I drink 16 oz every day)....for very little money!
And to top it off, after introducing it to 3 different MD's, the consensus from all was, "Keep drinking THAT tea!"

Last time I was in China, some of the herbal concoctions they were selling were 8000RMB+, over 1000USD, so I don't think you can make a blanket statement they are all cheap...

I think you have touched a nerve here op, all the big guns are reigning in.

Chemo is pure poison, yeah sure it might hit the mark but it has untold effects on many parts of the body and will undoubtedly decrease your life span.

Before you say it yes it might beat the cancer which would increase your life span but compare the chemo to some of the alternatives which are not really available. So in the eyes of the de populating big pharma blood money traders chemo is a win win.

Cancer research charity? .... oh well here goes, give them a dead end road, something futile and really undermining the point of it all[chemo, radio]Its like removing a wart from your leg with a shotgun.

Dont just stop there lets recruit loads of sell out pp's to de bunk any alternative healing and have them argue to they are blue in the face even though 90% of the readers know the intentions of these big pharma entities and can see through the veil, more and more each day.

So... my hats off to you people for your determination in making your... point but anyone still trying to defend or justify these blood hounds are hanging out their washing for all to see.

Im now off to see my well informed truth seeking friend in Holland and Barrets to see what he makes of this.

Live long and prosper.

It's a starting point............I spent an entire day reading anecdotal testimonials from people all over the globe as to the benefits they personally derived from Kombucha Tea, aka the "Elixir of Life.", after researching the basic premise of its healing powers. It convinced me to move forward; I took the disinfo with a grain of salt....and so very glad I did! After just 2 months of home brewing, I had the experience and confidence to share my brews with friends and family who had multitudinous health issues. Many of their issues (some quite serious) have been resolved, with a greatly reduced dependency and need for Big Pharma poisons!

A lot of folks may find themselves in deep do-do when Obamacare really kicks into high gear.......

I lost my youngest brother to stage 4 squamous cell cancer last year (before I discovered Kombucha Tea).....he was dead just THREE days after his first chemo treatment, which his VA doctor had assured him would probably buy him another 6 months- to- a -year of extra time. HA! Don't even want to get started on THAT.....I'm still mad as hell and hurting!

Anyway, Günther W. Frank is considered to be one of the world's leading authorities on Kombucha Tea......and there's plenty of other good info available via the web, You Tube, and books.

I'm very sorry for your loss. One of my closest friends was treated for squamous cell cancer (with radiation and chemo) three years ago. The prognosis was not good. He is still cancer free.

I didn't know I made a blanket statement .........I was specifically referring to Kombucha Tea! You can buy a commercially prepared bottle here for $3-$5 avg per 16 oz bottle, but by home brewing, I make many, many gallons for that same $3 or so that I spend buying cheap sugar and a variety of teas.

Thank you. Your friend is most fortunate! I had a SIL who was diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma in her early twenties. She underwent various cancer treatments for over 20 years, before her weakened heart finally gave out. Me? I'm not young and I no longer have much faith or trust in modern medicine. Much of it only treats the symptoms, not the cause. I had minor laser surgery this year and the after affects of the antibiotics I was put on afterwards put me through sheer hell. I was gravely ill for many weeks, requiring several hospital admissions....and I'm still dealing with another problem that arose from that particular incident!

I was treated with radiation therapy for Hodgkins in 1982. It reoccurred and I underwent chemo in 1987. I have been cancer free since.

You cannot condemn the entire system because all outcomes are not the same.

That you were able to beat the odds is great. I lost more than one relative to various cancers, so I know there is no "one size fits all." I'm not condemning the entire system. My point is that I've got a different perspective on a lot of things system-related that I used to take for granted, and at face value.

Actually, Hodgkin's is one of the most treatable cancers with one of the highest success rates. I didn't beat the odds, I demonstrated them.

The point is my personal experience (direct and with friends and family) makes it impossible for me to agree with anyone when they say there is some sort of agenda to hide effective cancer treatments or that western medicine is inferior to alternative medicine. Not every case can have a good outcome.

Not trying to spread disinfo but I'm interested in natural remedies myself, and have never heard of Kombucha Tea. Well I came across this:

Kombucha tea, especially batches made at home where it’s hard to maintain a germ-free environment, can become contaminated with fungus (Aspergillus) and bacteria (including anthrax). In Iran, 20 people got anthrax infections from taking kombucha tea.

Sourc e
Yikes.

I'd be interested hearing your opinion on the side effects and the source as well.
This same source scared me off of Kava Kava.

He just pointed out it was synthesized.

How on Earth did you infer what you said from his post

Phage is a pretty prolific poster and rightly or wrongly calls BS where he sees it. With that said, take a look at several of his "debunking" posts and you'll start to get a flavor of how he consistently responds to this genre of topic. He seems to have a pretty consistent "mainstream science is right and the rest of you who think otherwise are idiots" point of view.

Show me where anything other than the synthesized analog was studied in this article.

What support is shown for the notion that any raw extract from this plant could have obtained these results?

Well, basic hygiene is a requirement when dealing with utensils and the Kombucha culture. Admittedly, I haven't checked out your source, but I'm very skeptical of the claims of anthrax infections coming from Kombucha!! And as for kava kava, my previous research indicated that it is a supplement that should not be taken on a long term basis. OTH, over a period of 30-days, one nighttime capsule was all that was needed to wean my SO off of a Big Pharma poison pill that had turned him into a mindless zombie! And there's even good natural alternatives to that, that can be taken regularly - like valerian root.

I do use common sense in my approach to anything new, and Kombucha tea has been nothing less than a small miracle for the benefits that me, friends and family have derived from it. Just in the past month or so, I've given Kombucha cultures to 4 people who are knowledgeable about the tea, and requested them. Do not be afraid, if you have health issues. This simple tea could very well do wonders for you, too!

These are the same folks who have bear bile farms and think that animal penises have medicinal powers.

Google "bear bile farms"

Then look at how many endangered species are endangered because of hooey like this.
