It's always so illuminating how you right-wingers always take comments out of context -- just like FAUX news and its fellow travelers in the media do. Obama was asked by John Stewart whether what happened in Benghazi was "optimal" -- yes, Stewart used specifically that word. So Obama directly answered the question, using the same word. I understand how it sounds impersonal and euphemistic, and how the mother of one of the slain Americans from the consulate would be offended/put off by it, but Obama was just directly answering the question.

But keep up the feigned indignation on your part, Obama haters and detractors; you just make yourself look ridiculous to those who don't share your pitcher of kool-aid.

You conveniently forget to mention that Jon Stewart set up the question by asking him first if it was Optimal and used the word himself and you are under the delusion that Jon Stewart Comedy Central is something like FOX News, a fake news show. It isn't.

I even realized he WAS trying his best to do what he believed in and admit he was a good father but one of the worst Presidents this country has ever had the misfortune to endue.

WWI pilots, british, were told to keep in mind to save the last round in thier pistol for themselves. If they were shot down over certain areas over there they knew what to expect. I read this myself from an old book writtne by a WW1 pilot about his time there.

Also, there was a pilot, american, that was shot down and captured durring the 1st gulf war and he tesitifed of the truth of this tradition.

Obama is so easy to despise.

It's offensive to see the POTUS interviewed on a comedy "news" show (where the news is played for laughs) when the subject is as unfunny as a terrorist attack on a US Consulate (an act of war) where four Americans were tortured (some possibly sodomized) and killed.

The attack happened in two different waves and took place over five hours. How terrifying it must have been for Ambassador Stevens and the other Americans there.

Stewart: "Is part of the investigation helping the communication between these divisions of Security, not just what happened in Benghazi, but what happened within? Because...I don't know...I would say even you would admit it was not the optimal reponse, at least to the American people, as far as us all being on the same page."

Obama: "This is what I will say, if four Americans get killed, it's not optimal. And we're going to fix it...."

It amazes me how the rabid Obama fans cannot discern how callous Obama's response sounds. It sounds facile, glib, dismissive, and unfeeling. Then to follow it quickly with an automated, "And we're going to fix it."

As if there were an easy fix or a do-over. Is he going to fix it for the families of the men who died?
Is he going to raise these four men from the dead?

This is NOT manufactured outrage, like the Dems "outrage" over Romney's "binders of women's resumes" comment.

As much as I think Barak Obama is a despicable human being I dont think that this is much of a deal at all. I didnt see an issue with his response in which he was using the words that John Stewart was using.

That said..its what he gets for pandering to the stupid vote that get their news from the hard hitting news division of Comedy Central.

It was a failure on the Obama administration. They know it and have admitted it. Watched Special Report with Bret Baire. It was very informative. Had democrats and republicans on it that layed out the time line of the attack. Also emails have been released showing how the ambassador was asking for help, additional security, but according to Lt Colonial Wood, they took away their special detail that they had, even though there was information given to the admin about all the violence.
When it happens on your watch, you have to take the blame.

Just remember, what happens overseas could very easily happen here. If it wasent for our police, FBI, etc we would have been hit a long time ago. We need to keep the shield up and make sure we can defend outselves and not cut our defense. And also give our soldiers the tools that they need to do the job they were sent there to do. Especially when the job is protecting our Americans overseas. Just think how you would feel if that was your dad that died over there under those circumstances. It is absolutely horrible!

Now, overall, for popular vote, it is a statistical dead heat at the moment, and trending Obama.

Ask a Kerry or Gore supporter what they think about winning the popular vote, but losing the electorial.

Best to use RealClearPolitics as a source of overall info on polling. reliance on a single poll isn't a good thing. The race was tight for a bit after the first debate. But, that edge is now wiped due to Obama actually showing up for the second debate.
Third debate is foreign policy...ultimately a debate where Obama will be endlessly spiking footballs and Romney pretending he didn't offend england when he went to go visit them...aka, its a softball for obama...

I am not saying 100% Obama will win, but if this were vegas, my money would be taking the wise route.

In regards to Gallup specifically btw, Gallup is a 7 day poll. By tuesday, you will see the actual trending lines on that one poll.
Gallup, for all the work they do, and I do believe them to be non-partisan, they have tended to give conservatives a 5 point addition outside of results..this happened when they called it for Obama in 08, and the republicans in 10. They got it right as to who won, but their margain was much, much higher than any other poll.. (reps won by 7 in 10, gallup had em at 15)
According to the chief editor, the big swing trend to Obama will be coming soon reflected in the new 7 day. this is basically old info left over from D1.

But this is still just a consideration of popular vote over electorial college. Obama doesn't need to win both, just the electorial..however, it would be nice for a potus to win both, that way there is no hard feelings.

I'm beginning to think Obama could sacrifice a baby to the ghost of Montezuma in Times Square, live on prime time television and people would claim it to be a right-wing conspiracy.
