British Army Rebellion.. Today, We March on Parliament!

This is going to be extremely unpopular, but I want to consider another angle here.

When your country is in dire need of fiscal restraint, why is cutting military spending a bad thing? I know people want to protect their jobs, but a country cannot post massive deficit after massive deficit and expect it to go on forever. We do of course all realize overspending is exactly what has gotten the West into its current financial mess, right? These may be old regiments, but do you suggest a newer regiment be cut instead? People are still out of jobs in either case. I cannot foresee and attack on the British Isles in the near future.

Military spending should be cut in the US as well in my opinion.

All i can say bro is good luck, western countries do not flip as easily as middle eastern ones do, the lords want to stay in power the way they have for over 1500 years, don't be surprised to find your own weapons turned on you and used. The trade between a monarchy and a democracy is instead of getting one tyrannical dictator you can easily poison and be done with you have hundreds of little tyrannical dictators that are much harder to lock down and put the squeeze on and theyre a legion, if even one of those cockroaches survives it wont be long before you're infested again.

What people are not in the picture about is this, the British & American leaders over the last 17 years have been cutting conventional forces down simply because they know that WW3 will only go nuclear within hours of starting, they know they wont need many men for that. It's fact that the more troops you have the less chance of war going nuclear, the less men the more chance of nuclear.

Awesome! I'd be very interested to see how it goes, and how many people are involved...of course, the media won't talk about it, so yea...hopefully some streaming online feed. That's the only way you can hear about important events that aren't approved by the establishment.

Big brother is most definitely watching! And worried!

It's one thing to hear about big brothers shadow over you, it's quite another to see it like this. I hope you guys succeed and no one has to get hurt. This is a huge undertaking but it's one that needs to happen all over the world before its to late.

I hope this starts a chain reaction and the military all over the world rejoins the side of the people. That would be a sight to see.

To me it sounds like you are marching against 'Parliment' because well, because you will become [or are already. ex-military]. So, you think you have been lied to for the last ten yrs, but angry because you can no longer be a part of that group any longer..

Here in the states we have the completely opposite problem our government refuses to cut military spending in these hard economic times. presidential candidate Romney has vowed that if he is elected he will increase military spending even more than it already is.

It's much easier to attack a power structure you can see

This is a march by the soldiers of ONE regiment, protesting that they are being disbanded but another regiment is not - it is nothing more than inter-regimetnal rivalry!!

The Fusiliers claim Mr Cameron forced through the disbandment of 2RRF to save the Royal Regiment of Scotland because he feared cutting soldiers north of the border would boost nationalists in an independence referendum due in 2014.

Our tv shows are too important. Just like ancient Rome as long as we have our entertainment the entire country can burn down around our ears and no one would notice until the television programs were over.

There's a recent technology called 'sky net'. They wish to be everywhere, with cozy creature comfort settings as they spy and monitor us, everywhere.

How can the Queen possibly afford to pay soldiers, and cameras with weapons set to kill by remote, at the same time?

What are your priorities, mate? If technofascism can do the job of soldiers, why complain that your work load has just been lightened?
