Should Michelle Obama be banned from the debate?

She broke the rules last night by clapping.

She did break the rules, but the rules don't apply to her. I don't think though that she should be banned from the next debate. Regardless of politics, this is her husband and she was supporting him.

Pointing out that she broke the rules clearly makes you a racist.

Obama and Romney both should be banned from further debates for their complete ignoring of the 2 minute response time clock.

I can not even fathom how silly a debate about someone clapping, or not clapping on my scale of silliness is.

But since you asked: Yes please ban her. Wait .. you can't ban her, she'll just laugh at you. So what's the matter with asking if you can't ban her anyways.

''The rule: Article 9, Section A, Subsection 7: "All members of the debate audience will be instructed by the moderator before the debate goes on the air and by the moderator after the debate goes on the air not to applaud, speak, or otherwise participate in the debate by any means other than by silent observation, except as provided by the agreed upon rules of the October 16 town hall debate."

Maybe I should have said that no rule applies to her. They have a do as I say and not as I do mentality. However, I still don't believe she should be banned from the next debate. She is still his wife.

Seriously .. they ignored the moderator (unless she was interrupting in their favor :shk: )
They kept going over their time and making excuses to the moderator.

I favor ban Obama and Romney from debates! They aren't going to change anything anyways.
We can start a movement ... crawdad suggested the ban .. he can head it up.

I agree with your statement that if anyone else did this, they would be banned, however, as we have learned in the past four years......rules don't apply to the obamas. Also, I do sympathize with a wife supporting her husband no matter what their political flavor is. In truth though, if this had been mrs. romney, the media would have been all over this like white on rice.

Michelle has been to so many fundraising efforts, debates, etc.....it just came to her naturally and unintentionally I'm sure. She's probably clapped so many times in the last four years that all the plugged in clapper devices in the world blew up. No harm, no foul. How this became newsworthy is beyond me.
