Dogs mean the world to me. For years I have rescued, raised and re-homed animals, mainly dogs. These are my closest babies that stayed with me in the family, and have been the best friends anyone could ask for. These are no doubt more than my "pets".. They are my family, my best friends, my protectors, and my furbabies (lol). It is safe to say, Dogs are a Woman's best friend, as well.

It is safe to say I would not be the person I am today without these companions.

Best dog I ever have had, Prima.

Pit/boxer mix, a rescue, the most lovable gentle dog.

Shes at home playing with kids and puppies, she changed my perception of the entire breed.

We had a bit of a bad incident with her, we think the neighbor threw boiling coffee on her over the fence (she barks in themournings, we have since moved) Have no proof, even after that she is still the sweetest most gentle thing. She wouldn't even nip at the vets who where scrubbing the 3rd degree burns on her back side...

I am glad she changed your opinion on the breed! My belief from experience is it is how you raise the dog that dictates how they are and act. My chihuahua is more vicious than any pit, pit/boxer I've ever raised, lol.

Ohh I am so sorry to hear about Primas injury, your neighbors are lucky you had no proof it was them who burned her, if so I hope you would have raised cane!! I hate people like that

Anyways, she is absolutely gorgeous!!

My baby Domino! He is a Great Dane, who I had since he was a puppy, still acts like one, although he is 2 years old! Laying on his favourite place, my bed. lol

Pushing her luck - dogs are not allowed to sit on the furniture at my parents place

My rescue dog Tuppy, or "meatbrick" as she is affectionately known.

By day a fox terrier, by night (and when she makes contact with the bed) a large elephant...

She was thrown from a moving car in a box, and the person following stopped to check it, and found a little malnourished dog inside. I took her in and now she's ruler of the roost. This one I call "extreme closeup."


This one is my daughter's cat Garfield. I've never met a cat that is more like a dog than a cat before, but there he is.
This is a recent one my daughter took with her new camera. I entitled it "what?!"

Basically she followed him around with the camera for a day. This was the most complete shot....

My little mate José is a Weimaraner x American Staffordshire.



This is the most recent picture of us on José's first camping trip. He's 4 months old now and still has heaps of growing to do.



Cradling him like a baby to reinforce my pack leader authority as his master.



As I'm typing he's taking up a little more than his fair share of the couch next to me watching the rspca ad, it's his favourite.

My Avatar is Dozer. Never named a dog more appropriately in my life. He's an Olde English Bulldog. When he has the energy to move, you better not be in his way or he will take you out at the knees. The Vet says when he hits two, he should slow down.

And this is Loki. In the picture he was 3 months. He's now 4 1/2 months and about 63 lbs. He's an English Mastiff and the biggest chicken. But he likes to cuddle!!

I hope this worked. If it did, this is Jamie, my half English half American Bulldog. She is 4 yrs old and I saved her from a puppy mill that was operating in North Central Minnesota. It has since been shut down.

This is my pride and joy. A pedigree Border Collie called Guinness who is 9 years old this December. Have had him since he was just over 6 weeks old and is very much a part of our family.
