Well honestly I think it had more to do with the many wars the Islamic world was involved in and a growing fundamentalist rhetoric.

I don't think they can, Islam has just gotten more and more fundamentalist and aggressive over the years. The only hope they have is to secularize their nations, and stop their ultra conservative theocratic governments from dictating the lives of their citizens.

Believe me my friend,people don't want another western installed government anywhere in the world anymore.I mean the idea that another western puppet would bring order to Me is just out of my grasp!...They already had and still mostly have western supported governments anyways,so what would be the point by reinstalling to the same system!...People are ill,alternative diet means vegetables not just some different Mcdonalds combo....And for your information there were order in most countries in the region long before US started the invasions and fabricated the conflicts...and long before Israel was invented.

I also don't see how direct democracy is the first step to Sharia law, as Sharia law exists because of the suspension of democracy. Who in this country would vote to have Sharia, besides the very very very small percentage of fundamentalist Muslims?

isn't that the whole point of democracy, voting on issues and the majority of the votes decides its.

now america has a minority (435 congressmen, 100 senators, 9 justices and 1 president) imposing their will on the majority, just like the framers intended.

To put it quite simply direct democracy leads to tyranny or mob rule. Just because issues are popular, don't necessarily make them the best policies for all of society. Yes, that is what the framers intended. America could not currently be the best situation, but it could also be a lot worse.

[Sunan of Abu-Dawud #4306] /you may think this is odd but search about what today is called the satanic goat !/

The minority has power as well. Their voice cannot be crushed by votes or numbers and are protected by law and yes, sometimes the minority can force an issue. This is exactly why the US is a Representative Republic and not a true Democracy.

yes I think this is something like the belief of other monotheistic religions but there is a point. real monotheistic religions are all contrary to dictatorship. so a Messiah can not and should not force others. for example Jesus did not force jews to believe in christianity. he was against dictators and Israel leaders who had corrupted Judaism and misused people. so this is true about the upcoming Messiah or Messiahs !

We have President Obama who has done an apology tour around the middle east and the rest of the world. He is soft on foreign policy. He backs off and delays allowing Iran to develop a nuclear arsenal.

I do not think so. Obama did what he could to serve Israel ! and even I do not believe that Iran is after nuclear arsenal because it is a signatory of NPT and it is chief of NAM (118) member group that they will not tolerate any nukes so this would be a suicide for Iran and what would he gain from nukes, unless far more pressures and isolations !
