This is sort of long, but certainly not "4000 billion pages". It provides a pretty comprehensive summary of the Healthcare Act. I would go by this before I believed all the conservative blogs, or individual comments on forums.

Yes I know I exaggerated on the size of the entire document it's really like 3000 and some odd pages I think. LOL...just a bit of creative license here lol.... anyway thanks I am reading it. I just don't agree this plan is very good I tend to agree with the OP that it's crap. In most respects. Some of it is good but why do we have to pay to cover drunks and people who are crack addicted to be getting medicaid and yet because I smoke cigarettes I will also have to pay more for insurance? This is unfair and picking on really infentisimal percentage of the population, what about that? How is that fair? That alone is why I am not going to be part of it (and because I value herbal and holistic healing methods anyway). In fact I have always treated my asthma over the counter and through herbal remedies. I just don't get how anyone can defend this reform?

The minute that hospitals are NOT required to provide care to everyone, regardless of their owning health insurance is the day that Obama's healthcare mandate is not necessary. If you decide you do not want health insurance, then so be it. Unfortunately for you, when you do get into a car accident, you should be unable to ride in an ambulance or get treated by the hospital's medical staff unless you can provide up front payment.

Until then, the tax payer or the hospital eats the costs associated with YOUR decision not to carry health insurance.... which is an absolute farce and should be dealt with immediately.

Not sure yet...I'll know when the time comes what the best choice will be.
Probably the first place that has a job to offer and will give me citizenship legally before I move, because I won't go illegally. Probably someplace with a nice temperate climate hopefully.

Hope you have a spaceship and know a friendly race of Aliens, no place will give you citizenship before you move there, it may take years of living in the place for that.
I have been thinking of going to AUS but you have to have a skilled job and money in the bank.

I defend this reform because I think it's better than what we have now. Do I think it's perfect? Heck, no. But I'm all for universal healthcare, like they have in most other 1st world countries. I particularly like what they have in Sweden. High tax rate, but everything is taken care of. And they recently enacted new laws guaranteeing you won't have to wait forever to get a non-life threatening surgical procedure done, or to get in to see a specialist. Sweden's life span is rapidly increasing and infant mortality is rapidly decreasing since their universal healthcare. Overall, the Swedes seem to be pretty happy with it. Their economy is doing pretty well, too, at least compared to some of the other European nightmares going on now. I have no plans to leave the U.S., but if I did, I would seriously consider Sweden. I'd have to stock up on sweaters and coats, though.

I am a skilled worker at IT, what I meant was at least a work Visa or something not coming in without something...lol... I am not opposed to UK it looks nice, but it gets kind of cold so. I was thinking more like Australia or New Zealand myself because it has the climate I want, I do have money in a credit union if that counts. I don't know if it's the same stipulations for the UK. But I do think that is a stipulation with NZ and AUS. I just don't like the prospect of my being considered a terrorist because I lost my home and spend cash for a hotel room in the USA thanks to OBAMA ( if THIS ARTICLE is true), and if he gets re-elected being charged crazy fines for not buying health ins, of course I will use my religious exemption as much as I can but I also cannot bring myself to favor Romney cause essentially he made the same plan for Massachusetts.Massachusetts healthcare reform

Besides the you know being a woman and him cutting funding to planned parenthood which helped me deliver two of my children because Prudential never offered me healthcare that really they could have gotten us free being that's what Prudential provides, at least one of the things Prudential is selling is health insurance, because I even worked for that specific branch of Prudential the health coverage branch.

I agree on universal healthcare. I am 110% for it. I think I'd like Sweden especially near the French border if that movie "What Dreams May Come" is any thing close to true about what it looks like there.

I just don't see this reform as guaranteeing that it will help the health inurance rate to drop. In some areas yes maybe. I'll give you my reasoning behind this. When it went almost national that we had to buy car insurance, this was a gaurantee made to us that car insurance rates would drop. For NJ The place I lived in at the time, the rates kept going up and up and up...so much so that eventually I was unable to afford to be insured and yet working 40 plus hours a week...supporting two children and keeping a roof (very expensive in NJ) over our heads (rented) the rates got so incredibly high that I could just not do it (by the way I was not living beyond my means, we had barely what it took to survive and the only way we ate half the time was my mother helping with groceries) and got caught many times paid the fines many times over (Which were significantly lower). This with TWO members of the household working! And eventually after ten years moved at which point, the rates began to drop on insurance and they started allowing the competitors in. Only because of the Governor repealed some laws against allowing competition in. A Governor I wish I had the ability to say I voted in except I couldn't vote at the time because I fell on hard times and was in jail during that election because of yet ANOTHER fine for driving without insurance that I didn't have the money to cover at the time. This is what is going to happen in a lot of areas of this country (I'm betting at least in California and NJ).

No it's not the same kind of jail it's not even on my record I don't think because it's like a creditor's thing like a debtors jail basically. It won't show up it's prison they are talking about I don't think then again I haven't tried I don't know.
