Character limit on thread titles?

There should be a limit on the amount of words that can be in a thread title.

I see too many threads with long titles that get cut off and it looks awkward. Plus, you can't really tell what the thread is about.

Just a minor annoyance that could be corrected.

But, it still looks awkward. People should learn how to summarize a title.

Yeah, the old copy and paste... that has saved a many lives in the computer age! haha.. really... I think members, at least some members, may think that the title of a new thread is required to be the same as the original title of the original artical/content the thread is based on

I know that it is required on some forums - Breaking News is one, I think - but it is not required in every forum, even though it does seem to be good etiquette when the thread is made up mostly of off-site content...
