So exactly how did this thing work for you? You did not state what questions asked were actually answered, etc. You just said how it moved over the board.

Give us an actual nugget about how, "it worked."

I thought the only way you could get rid of a Ouija board was to drop it into a volcano by hand.

dowsers use sticks,pendulums, and other amplifiers and indicators which all use the muscles of the body. These move as a result of the mind picking up (largely) unconscious energy fields which can be picked up by the dowser. These tools are just that - tools, used as indicators or amplifiers and the dowser interprets the movement according to his own rules and experience.

However, there are conscious forces(energies) which are independent of these ideomotor effects in the body. I know this because I have been at a seance with 3 other people and the table we were sat at, and all had our hands on, rose to above head height. All our arms were literally above our heads trying to keep our hands on the top of the table.

The ouija board is always run by people's muscles because these muscles are controlled by our minds. The conscious energy beings use our muscles to control the glass/planchette to communicate, which is why one person has to have their finger on the glass. Of course, it does not always have to be another conscious entity doing the communicating, it could equally well be one of the participants themselves and there may be no other entity involved.

People who believe that all this stuff is JUST ideomotor effect in the purest sense, are mainly correct. At the moment not many of us have the ability to move physical objects with our minds without the use of our muscles. However, there are beings who can do this and probably our human subconscious can also generate what is required to do that (see the table thing above).

We know so little about out environment that we are babies of the universe and have a great deal to learn in how things work. While we continue to separate science and spirituality we will never learn more than a very broad overview of how it all works.

I never got into the quija board stuff and a soewhat apprehensive of them.
However, it's supposed to be the planchette that does the work, the board is just the letters/words it uses to communicate.

Part of me doesn't believe it and the other part sees it as "evil" and refuses to use it, either way, I won't be messing with one.

I used a ouija board on the steps of an old catholic church after dark at night once. I am a firm believer after this experience. I had over 100 entities trying to talk to us at once. Very little intelligible came through, the spirits were very weird to eachother.

Always ask what their name is. Always some weird name.

Ouija boards arent evil and im unconvinced anything bad can happen to you. These arent powerful spirits.

I watch a lot of paranormal shows so I don't remember which one I saw this on, but there were several people using a quija board, and the planchette started moving so fast the people took their hands off.... and it kept moving. It scared them so bad they all ran from the room. The person telling their story on the show swears this was true. Who knows? It is t.v.

a simple version is very easy to set up - and eliminates any cance for the users to create a coherent message

you just need an impartial recorder to transcribe / decipher it

I dont know. Its the catholic church in downtown st joseph michigan, and i think it had more to do with it being outside than being a church. I have heard from others that ouija boards dont work well outside. One of the spirits told me that another spirit was a jerk and was interupting the other 100 or so. Itd give a couple of coherent words and then get taken over by others before a sentence was complete. Very short answers were fine. Then it started telling us the church bothered it and we needed to move two blocks away. im dissapointed that my partner freaked out claiming it was a demon. Session ended right there and i had to closw the board out myself...

Ive also had the board do nothing.

Older boards aee better than newer ones. Bigger boards, bigger planchettes, less friction. i have one from the early 90s that soneone foubd un an abandoned house......is that freaky or what?

Gratz on making your own board, OP. What scares me is that your making a Ouija Board while still at a level needing to come here and ask basic questions. No problem asking, of course........but isn't it putting the cart before the horse in some ways?

As far as working though, the board isn't what matters. I once helped form a working one in a pinch using sticky notes for letters reversed on the underside of a glass top coffee table. it looked like crap and was crude to the point of laughter if the situation hadn't been so serious. It worked though......

I'd just strongly recommend with all I can muster that folks who don't feel 100% at EASE...AND comfortable with how these work, avoid them. Entirely. One theory has them working by outside forces or spirits and another has it working by channels into your subconscious and that of the people with you.

Either way, and I have my firm belief which, but they are both bad bad things to tinker with in trial-and-error mode. Those errors can be outright tragic, IMO.

OP is obviously trolling the sensitive minds in this community.

Ive tried it when i was "asleep" (Not awakened) with other friends and it didn't work, If you have a higher level of conciousness and it does work I would say its simply that. Your level of conciousness, you must be subjected to talk to these beings, not just kuz you want to but because you can.

Okay, they are from the subconscious. Sure, whatever you believe. Now can you explain to me how my mother and I, sitting in a room, when I was 12, and dad off at work, nobody else home, but us two, and we ask for a sign from the ghost, and a fork flies off the counter and across the room, and hits the wall and falls. Then, this same thing repeats itself, several more times over the next few months, each time, immediately after asking for a sign? How does this happen via the subconscious? How does the subconscious create a wind that knocks dozens of children's pictures off the wall, when the doors and windows of the classroom are closed? How does the subconscious mind to this? If you have no answer, then your entire opinion is nothing more than opinion.
