Maybe the buses should put a security type person on the bus now?

Not to search people, but to prevent this kind of abuse from happening?

They hire off-duty police to ride buses in most of central Florida, don't know about other states/cities.

In my opinion this thread has become a medium for people's pent up anger towards women. I think the social and legal issues are being over looked for comments like

" I would smack that women around" or " women should be hit"

I hope this thread goes back on track, but for now now I will remain out of it.

what you are doing here is the equivalent of crying "anti semite!" when anyone speaks out against israel. yes traditionally women were not to be hit under any circumstances, but this guy is being physically attacked while operating a public conveyance. try slapping the pilot next time you're on an airplane and see what happens. there are no Air Marshals on a bus. the driver has to provide his own security and safety. pretty vicious blow, but this a foreseeable consequence of her idiotic and dangerous actions.

Maybe it's just my "old school" way of thinking, but I was raised that if you put yourself in a man's place to expect to be treated like a man. Maybe it wasn't very professional of the bus driver to hit the "lady" (and I use that term loosely) but it was justified, at least in my opinion.

Not only did she physically assault the driver first, but then continued to verbally assault him in addition to invading his personal space in a very threatening manner. She put herself in that position, and I do not pity her.

The video isn't available

It's hard to tell what's going on the op video.
He had a right to toss her off the bus if it interfered with him driving safely. He shouldn't have punched her though. Irate customers are everywhere and you can't punch them.

Sorry - the driver does NOT have the rights that you are describing..........he cannot lay a hand on her. its up to the police. The driver took hostile revenge on the woman.....plain and simple and the N-Word doesn't eneter into it at all because its socially acceptable between persons of like race. Besides - the drivers ill speech towards her actually elevated the argument into hostilities. These drivers DO go through training in how to deal with these kinds of situations - He must have been asleep in class - you know.

All this security is ridiculous.

If more guys punched more mouthy women in the teeth maybe there'd be fewer mouthy women and more peace.

As an aside.......in my younger days I drove TT for the Post Office and we were ARMED - to protect the mail of course -
Then two guys got into a gunfight in the lot and after that I think it was Nixon who took away our guns -

Exactly she wants to talk like a man she can take it on the "chin like a man"

All joking put aside i dont condone violence it seems they were both at fault.

Trouble is alot of the times they hide behind the fact that they are women and it somehow gives
them immunity to mouth off....

They wanted equal rights when it suited them..
Shes a woman your not allowed to react you have to take it because shes a 'woman'
They both should be taken downtown to the cop shop at the very least.

I wish I had become an attorney instead of an academic. Low hangin fruit abounds. Unprofessional behavior by the driver will result in him being sued, lose his job, the bus company being sued or it will probably be settled out of court for mega bucks. And if that was a city owned bus the city will be sued as well.

Something to think about...

as a result of a moment of anger and violence; that drivers life has changed forever and will never be the same.

No company in their right mind would hire a loose cannon like him. Another candidate for welfare...

Heres something to think about too..

She also would not go unpunished endangering the lives of other passengers while
the bus is in motion by striking the bus driver while driving also the lives of others driving on the road..

I guess city girls are just raised different. Women deserve equal rights, and that equality includes being retaliated against when they physically assault someone- whether they are male or female. You just can't hit someone and then whine about it when they hit you back. You get what you give.

No one should be sued for something that is natural human behavior.

The driver was provoked. She knew damn well what would happen. She "trolled" him.

Bravo, bus driver. Where do I send the check for the defense fund?

Yes, she more than likely would.

The court system is biased against men, and some people erroneously believe that you can't hit a woman for absolutely any reason whatsoever, not even in self defense, such as if the woman was coming after you with an axe. It's already been stated in this thread that under no circumstances should he have hit her.

That's why she was so abusive towards him.

You don't allow people to defend themselves this kind of thing happens. And society doesn't allow for people to defend themselves, which is just wrong.

If I were the judge I'd throw the case and if she started that crap towards me I'd put her in jail for contempt for a minimum of two years. They won't accept that kind of behavior in jail and will put her in her place.

That would be true if he hadn't hit her; but now she is the victim. He had a radio; he should have called the LEOs and let them handle her. She would have gone to jail. Now it's the driver that will pay the price for his unprofessional ism.

she isn't the only victim as she was caught on camera striking the bus driver
you can't be the 'sole' victim if you participate in the crime yourself?
