Hello to all ATS readers - or should I say " Peaceful Greet " for starting this thread

As Halloween draws near at the end of this month of October, 2012 - I thought it would be appropriate to re-visit the sordid history of this " The Highest Satanic Holy Day " of the year !


HALLOWEEN - TRICK OR TREAT ?

They can call what they do a "fall festival", "alleluia party", etc., but they are still observing Halloween the Highest Satanic holy day of the year, even if they dress up as bible characters.

Halloween is the highest satanic holy day of the year.

On October 31st, the high priest of all witch covens are required to make a human sacrifice.

God condemns witches and everything to do with them. The head of the first satanic church said, "a witch is a witch", when referring to black and white witchcraft. All their power comes from the devil.

Some people think it's funny to scare people to "death".

II TIMOTHY 1:7 says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." So guess who is scaring you?

Celtic New Year
October 31 is the most important day in the satanic year. [It is known as the devil's birthday.] It marks the Celtic new year. It was the end of the growing season. It became a festival of death. On this day, the god of the Celtics was to have called up the spirits of the wicked dead who had died during the past year. At the same time, other evil spirits arose and went about the countryside harassing the people. On October 31, the Celtics expected to be harassed by ghosts, evil spirits and demons; and it was no fun and games to them. They would light bonfires to guide the spirits to their own town and to ward off evil spirits.

I catch the little buggers out in the open coming across the lawn. They can't maneuver much being all weighted down with candies. They drop like flies. Next day I have all the candy, plastic pumpkin buckets and wigs I can handle and then some...

Not once have you called it by it's real name? All Hallows Eve...

All Hallows' Eve falls on 31st October each year, and is the day before All Hallows' Day, also known as All Saints' Day in the Christian calendar. The Church traditionally held a vigil on All Hallows' Eve when worshippers would prepare themselves with prayers and fasting prior to the feast day itself.

The name derives from the Old English 'hallowed' meaning holy or sanctified and is now usually contracted to the more familiar word Hallowe'en.

Actually, the celebration of the snake in the tree, which has come to represent Satan, the tempter, is May 1. It has to do with uncontrolled and indiscriminate breeding, which is something "God" is against. Also fun. He's generally against that, too. He wants people to form lifelong pair bonds so it's easier to keep track of who the children belong to, possibly as a way to keep Neanderthal or Cro-Magnon genetics from contaminating humanity.

Halloween has more to do with the harvest and death, not sex.

Ok, I fell asleep about half way through; it was the Jesus, Christian and 'you shouldn't' that set me off.

It's a day, people that celebrate hallows eve do so purely to dress up, trick or treat and generally have fun, not wishing the devil happy birthday or carrying out satanic rituals!!

There is so much slight of hand and misdirection i don't know where to begin.But since Halloween is a predominantly christian practice with probable roots in roman feasts honoring a certain god...I think I'll leave it at that.

Vocabulary - Costume (Kas toom): The style of dress, including accessories, of a certain country, period or profession.

Druid (droo id): A member of a Celtic religious order in ancient Britain, Ireland and France.

Halloween (Halo ween): The evening of Oct. 31, which is followed by All Saints' Day.

Samhain (Sa man): The demonic god of death worshipped by the Druids.

I walked around as a child with the paper bag knocking on doors and saying "trick or treat" too ! Looks like Halloween is going to be around for a long time, there's just something about the desire of a child to have a big bag of Free Candy !

I was not raised to believe that Halloween is a Satanic holiday.

When I was a child it was just a day once a year where I got to play dress-up and get a lot of good candy!

The way it was handled in the home I grew up in; it was fun and not evil at all.

Hallowe'en and Samhain

It is widely believed that many Hallowe'en traditions have evolved from an ancient Celtic festival called Samhain which was Christianised by the early Church. Pronounced sow-in, Samhain is a Gaelic word meaning 'end of the summer'. This festival is believed to have been a celebration of the end of the harvest, and a time of preparation for the coming winter.

It is widely accepted that the early church missionaries chose to hold a festival at this time of year in order to absorb existing native Pagan practices into Christianity, thereby smoothing the conversion process.

The Church wanted Pagans on board so they incorporated one of their festivals into Christianity. I really don't think it's any more sinister than that...

you wear your jesus costume, i'll get some red horns, fork and pointy tail and we'll head off round the church's trick 'a' treating!

I don't see children being taught to openly worship Satan on Halloween. I was raised a Christian.

But lets talk about Christmas. Christmas was not Christs birthday, so it's a lie and as such against the Bible. Christmas is all about commercialism in the name of God which is idolatry so that's against the Bible. Christmas is full of stories of Santa who was St.Nick a Catholic saint which is against the Bible - saints were only made one way in the Bible and it's not the way the Catholics do it. Christmas teaches children that it's o.k. to get something for nothing and in fact to expect it. Not a biblical teaching.

So.. I'll give you Halloween but you got to get rid of that evil Christmas too. Is that o.k. with you chrisb9 ?

I see you cited the Pentecostal view point. All religions use manipulation to force their view on people. I have proof, the Baptists the Pentecostal, the Assemblies of God, Lutherans, Episcopalians, The Catholics, all of them. I know this because I studied it in training for a ministers position. This is one reason I left the official denomination I belonged to. I bet you 9 out of 10 Pentecostal's would say get rid of Halloween but not Christmas - and all the lies that go with it, they will defend because it agrees with their world view. Even Easter is a man made religious holiday and is not biblical. It's manipulation and a form of control.

Good point, and also Easter (the festival of Ishtar).

At least Halloween is openly spooky, and doesn't have kids playing with innocent looking pagan bunnies and eggs.
