Questions regarding Chemtrails

contrails form. duh, no argument! why do they linger??? just because??? super secret atmospheric conditions??? algorithyms and anomolies??? unicorn pisss??? ...these are the reasons given by the disinformation agents on this site. if you have witnessed chemtrailing you know something's going on, and it needs a proper investigation. the resposible parties must be exposed.

The science behind why contrails can persist is pretty well understood (and has been for decades). It has nothing to do with "super secret atmospheric conditions", "algorithms and anomalies", or "unicorn piss".

Anybody who looks into this subject will find that contrails can and do persist, chemtrail proponents who know what they are talking about acknowledge this, those who don't are either delusional or lack the ability to do even cursory research into basic meteorology.

You don't want to know, as much as you want to believe.

If you're asking that question, then it seems you haven't done much research. I'm not telling you that you necessarily need to agree with the science behind persistent contrails, but you should at least have the courtesy to attempt to research what is being discussed on this forum.

Yeah -- two of those that I mentioned are not government websites.

The first link in my list above (cimss.ssec.wisc.edu...) is from the University of Wisconsin.

The third link in my list above (www.agu.org...) is from the American Geophysical Union. Despite having the word "American" in its name, it is NOT a government organization. It is a private organization made up of members from all over the world -- from many different countries.


Here is another non-government link -- it is to a paper written in 1972 by Dr. Robert Knollenberg from the University of Chicago. He doesn't specifically explain the science behind the persistence of contrails (that's not the purpose of this paper), but his subject matter (growth of ice budget in a persistent contrail) does touch upon some ideas regarding how contrails persist in the first place.

Very simply: Ice Supersaturation.

It's just when the humidity is high enough so that ice does not sublime (like evaporating, but going from solid to gas).

It's really, really basic science. It's also the EXACT same reason that any ice cloud (like a cirrus cloud) will persist.

Think of it another way: under what conditions will liquid water NOT evaporate?

I'm curious as to who said unicorn piss was a reason contrails persist.

and as for your characterisation of the others who give you sound science that you then misrepresent (atmospheric conditions are not "supersecret", nor are they anomalies" - you should be ashaamed of yourself for using such pejorative adjectives to try to poison the well agaisnt the facts - that is disinformation that you accuse others of practicing!

AFAIK no-one has withnessed chemtrailing - because, again AFAIK, it does not exist.

but by all means actually do a "proper investigation" - it would make a change from the unsupported accusation and scaremongering that beleivers usually put forth.
