WTF LASER WEAPON IN COLUMBIA RIOTS? ...or LENS FLARE?

Hi ATS,
I'm a fan of LiveLeak and go there every day. It's great. They have odd stuff that sometimes I can't find anywhere else.
I'm also a fan of conspiracy theories (thats why I'm a member here) and I'm skilled in computer digital trickery (thats my job) and don't often see something that I can't readily explain in some way or another... be it a genuine anomalous oddity or a maybe human fake.
So here's a clip that has seemed to pass people by from a few days ago that freaked me out. I'll try and post the clip and I've also frame grabbed the 3 frames where the anomaly happens... i've forgotten how to upload photos so i'll suss that out while you watch the clip.

I've watched it tons of times now and one of the comments led my eye to something... but I'll let you see what you see and then I'll say some more.

something that has a small explosive charge.

frame by frame you can se eit hit before it flashes

Looks like lens flare to me. You can see the object in the air before it hits the ground and explodes.

Here's a still shot just as it comes into view. Whatever it is? I didn't see any glass flying after the impact, just a large puff of smoke.What is that?

Somebody threw a smoke bomb at the police.

i can see the smoke bomb but what is the massive green flash...

i don't think it's a laser... it looks like one though, in a comic book style!

i am just wondering what it is...

What is the context of this video? Are rioters throwing flash bangs at police? If it was a flash bang it looks like it was shot from a gun. That's about the only logical thing it could be really when you slow it down, but I don't see a concussion shock wave that usually follows a flash bang impact. Also I didn't see any pieces flying around after impact. Still pretty cool, looks like a laser blast to the untrained eye when you first look at it though.

Likely the result of a low quality, low frame rate video being made by shooting a TV screen.

it looks like someone added the green laser as an after effect.

Yes sir! This is what I thought/think exactly after some minutes... but it seems like such a strange clip to fake... but that might be the plan...

The cop is obviously reacting to a thrown object.

Man that's the perfect Myth Buster's episode. I actually wonder about that now you've said it.

Looks like it may have been manipulated, notice how the white mark(circled) fades between frames.

Been around the block a couple times. Think, small portable rail-gun.

Some sort of object (white and round) was flying towards the cop before the flash, I think it was a flashbang or something, and I think the laser was just an effect added by some individual.

What the hell has this site come to? A lazier? Its clearly a lens flare, at the top left of the screen, you can see the cop throw some sort of flash....
This is stupider then all of those double sun lens flare videos.
You clearly do not know how to analyze videos like you say you do or your just trolling.

I know this post will probably get blocked but I do not care it needs to be said.

HAHA Infini8nity I agree. i watched this video once and just laughed. "I'm skilled in digital video trickery..." not even close. You see this is the reason I never trust people who say they are "skilled" or are "experts". This is clearly, and I mean CLEARLY not a laser weapon. Geez, c'mon ATS you're better than this.
