It is noble and wonderful of you to try and inspire and give hope for a better world. For me however, I see there is too much greed and corruption and lack of compassion and love from too many people in the world. If things are going to change drastically, it won't be in our time I'm afraid.

Overpopulation is not a problem it is a myth that has historically been used as a justification for saying we should kill poor people. It was actually started by Thomas Malthus when he said we should just let poor people die and not treat their diseases because we are going to be "over populated".
Medicine is not a problem it is a good thing.
Censorship is a good thing, people should not be able to threaten me with death nor should child porn be on the internet or in my television.

Are you being serious? What that saying is suppose to mean that even when you are being oppressed you should fight harder to free yourself. That's what is happening you are personally being oppressed, we all are.

That's one thing that needs to change, but there is not enough awareness of it so should we just let it happen?

These aren't just my concerns and i am stating the ones that affect the major part of the populous.

They are entities causing problems, major problems that we are all being affected by.

They create the belief that there is a difference, they are there to create duality and separation, they are creating enemies for no reason. Lions mark their territory, we are acting like animals in the jungle.

I believe it is, just look at China/india etc they have too many people that they cannot take care of, they are overpopulated. Even if right not its not a real issue... in 50 years it will be at the rate infants are born.

we already know what needs to change and we do have the knowledge and wisdom to do so. But it is not happening, because the people in charge do not want it to happen, because it would mean they lose their influence and power. What needs to change are the people in charge.

Until that is happening, the only thing a normal person can do, to change something is to try to change himself / herself. Get to know yourself, be honest to yourself and others. Try to gather information and knowledge for yourself ... do not listen to everything the media or your relatives and friends tell you (create your own point of view)... try to live a life without doing to much damage to the environment yourself. Try to help others who need help ... do not wait for a change to happen ... be the change you want to see in this world (I like this one a lot). Turn off the TV and read a book or write a story, paint a picture, dance on the street ... organize get-togethers ... become a vegetarian or even better a vegan ... stop smoking ... stop having senseless sex and relationships just to feel better ... start jogging, play some basketball ... learn to play an instrument ... try to be a better person. That is where it all starts. When we change, our situation will change as well. You will see it happen in your own life and later on, with more people changing their lives, you will see a global change.

but as usual, it is easier said than done. while working 40 hours and more a week, raising children, paying mortgages and taxes, rent and enormous prices for bad food and transportation we all are consumed by a life where we have to earn the right to live.We do not want more stress in our lives because after our daily duties are done, we just want to have peace and relax. We want to watch silly TV shows and an endless amount of sport. We want to get drunk, to forget the lousy day we had and we want to spent some quality time with our kids and partners. Where is the time to change something or where does the motivation come from.

I try to change things in my life, because I can't change things on a global scale. But still, I am still smoking, I like a good burger once a while and as you can see, I spent my time with surfing the internet ... not very 'new age' ... but for me especially the motivation is missing. Our parents hoped to change the world, their parents wanted to do so as well ... and their parents as well and also their parents ... we try to change the world as long as we are living on this planet ... but still, have a look around and tell me, if we are successful ...

anyway ... I won't quit to try to change things and therefore here are a few points that helped me to change my life:

- governments and corporations do not care about civilians and workers ... they look at as us as their property (like cattle)

- everybody attracts situations and people ... like a magnet (Karma, Baby!)

- by changing yourself, you change what you attract

- religion is nonsense and does not do anything good

- you are alive, because you need to learn and understand ... do so!

- there is no past and no future ... here and now is the only thing that counts ... make the best of it

- everything is possible (also a Golden Age)

- honesty helps a lot ( a Karma thing)

- creative hobbies are great, because everybody needs an output (helps with thoughts ... points of view)
...

I thin there are more, but I have to figure them out for my self first :-)

Hi CesarO. Its nice to hear that people want change, and that they want the Golden Age to come about. I believe the Internet will be the conduit of bringing about the Golden Age.

Since the early times the media was "controlled" by the wealthy, simply because they were able to put whom ever they wanted before the people, and whatever policies and ideas they wanted before the people; whether the people wanted them or not.

Now the Internet has come along, and people can "choose" what they like to watch, read and listen to. The Internet isn't "controlled" by the wealthy, so the wealthy are loosing their control; their control is fast going by the wayside.

The Internet will become the law backing force of the People. In other words, the People will get to see the Truth about what is Really going on out there in this world. The Internet will provide Checks and Balances for all aspects of law, learning, life, government and religions.

The GOLDEN AGE will become reality thanks to the conduit of knowledge that the Internet will provide. What is the GOLDEN AGE? The Golden Age is basically the same as the Golden Rule, "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you". In other words, the Golden Age will make sure that the Golden Rule goes into effect all over the world, for each and every country, extending on down to each and every person for every aspect of everyones life. There will be no division in this rule for the wealthy or the poor, all will be equal.

Soon people will be able to see other things, things that they can't see right now, but things that really exist; and when people start exploring into this other world of "energy", there will be a new revitalization and economic revolution that will cause the transition of the GOLDEN AGE to take place.

There will be "NO STOPPING" of the taking place of the "COMING GOLDEN AGE", it will occur and it can't be stopped.

It is a great idea but it will take a reboot. Many enlightened ages came after a dark age which came after a the collapse or decay of a prior monarchy/dictator/emperor ruling society. We are bound to make it around this circle again hopefully...

very nice and positive approach, only courage can get us to the next level! It may turnout as a good "brain storming" exercise. And who knows what else?

However, I think we should act more boldly on the environmental issue to give the meaning it deserves, as well as to try to figure out something basic and common sense for the legal rights of the new GOLDEN AGE society.

I'd suggest, if I may, something simple based on
"THE NATURAL LAW" (Frédéric Bastiat).
I cannot see a working honest and healthy society without the principles highlighted in this this small and great book "THE LAW". If we'd had something like this anywhere today, we'd had a CORRUPTION FREE society to point at... I'd hate to be fooled by layers and law makers in the Golden Ages again
That was just my 2 C.

Maybe also an OpenSource manifest could be helpful.

I hope we will keep it going until we come up with some kind of concrete action. It's badly needed right now.

That's fine, you are right. But I think what the OP is trying to do is to figure out the "what if" scenario where we get a chance to do it our way. What if we could change it? How would it looks like? Or maybe it's just time to get our paranoid folks pulling in one direction and we need a plan? Let's not thing about what it takes (I mean the blood tax) to get there, but what would we do if we had it our way? Let's forget about the TPTB or what ever is blocking our way, how could we do it better? I think it's a great way to visualize a possible future in a collective way. I wish I had friends that dare to look so far as the OP does. Let's just play with the idea of coming together with an alternative plan to the SHTF scenario... Even if just for fun... Would it be funny?

Excellent posts for the most part. I think the first step in creating a better world is creating utopian idealogies to inspire and cultivate ones resolve, but where the former ones failed we should strive to learn the reason and change our reproach with benefit of hindsight. What I think is of paramount importance is protecting our internet liberties; this new paradigm of intellgience among free thinking humans for the better of us all than the above power of a selfish few based in a worthless currency.

For starters, I believe in the alternative to replace our monetary society with one based on natural resources opposed to gold or simply paper credits backing the currency (in past gold backed the dollar before the feds/banks made this unecessary). Better to use a currency on what is vital than something superficial like gold which doesnt even matter in the long run. Makes me wonder why this system of money backed by gold was ever the norm in the first place. The natural resources a country has should be the true face value of their economy. Im in fave of the intelligent management of natural resources to benefit foremost the host country then in equilibrium trade to other countries to trade where there is lack of. This isn't my original opinion, rather Jacques Rousseu and the Venus project.
Of course how such an endevour could be emplemented envolves a gradual phasing out of a monetary currency to gradually one based on natural resources.

We need better education curriculums for those aspiring to governmental offices where "human" values are cherished above career advancement, ie doing the right thing, recognizing what is best for the long run. Having a program to obtain who has these capacities in abundance would be helpful via IQ test and extensive psychological tests. In short longer planning centered on the benefit to humanity as a whole opposed to how an ever becoming obsolute economical basis. How any of this could be implemented on a wolrd scale? How to make the transition of power into kind hands a question? Step by step all scenarious must unfold, but what is the first, discussion--> leading to action, what kind of action, is action the power of this transformation or.. polls- to be presented to congress through politicans or figures.. from the ancient aristophanes 'birds, there are 5 forces one needs to create an envisioned utotopian land, fame/beauty, money, knowledge, prophesy/idealogy, might/show of ones resolve and the scope of such, these are the pillars of power.

The means of transition should be centered on the philosophy/idealogy of the idealised renewed utopian system countered with the enlightenment it invisions to withold;mercy benevelance, understanding..etc ...War is not an option, those who suggest be it the norm they harshly dealt with, make it societal norms war as unthinkable, the worst crime to humanity. Educate man war is not beneficial in any reason or sense, you may wonder to progress, economical gain, who stands top of the hill among the countries (recognition) , make these seem so foolish as they truly are. Curb your enthusiasm through avenues of the mind/body/soul in terms and realization to the equivalent of war- struggle against man versus mortality not aimed against itself but muted by nature the universe, and the mind which are our necessary vessels and environment; procure these to an everlasting state. to god blessed be the creation we see manifested through our very potential, that which is the path enlightened in evolution opposed to any unnecessary de-evolution of society through ignorant primitive motivations.

I too want to see this post grow further, sad it dropped from being among the trending pages, nevertheless i know the ideas expressed in here are mirrored amongst many. What should be motivating us is our own protection, what things we feel we must protect..To the longevity of our families the ones we love what is anything, material, politics, let us not prosume the answer is any easy one: to implement and believe, whats easier to believe than the truth of this simple fact that we love that which sustains us and are ignorant to how to maintain it,, without good intentions to the spherical realms operating outside thus. What sustains us. love, freedom, faith,, these are true but simple in scope of the fact of so much of these families are entirely disconnected from each other in this world.

Idea- we could strive to center being strong families who stay together the relations in common, in wealth, reputation, ie combiing all the resource of your immediate family and going from there, Millions of dollars would be site, let families live in mansions opposed to seperate villas,, just combine what is there and more options would be available. Cordinate your life plans first in regards to the power you,,"could", share.. I know seems very simple, who decides anythings? well anwho this idea came out of nowhere am sure has many flaws, less why else has social evolution partitioned the idea thus?

We could connect more with each other if we are greater than individuals...ill stop from rambling for now as i did in me other post. at the least let us consider some fundamentals we can all agree on, these could be are greatest strenth,, how to lead our place in this world in a more human/enlightened angle. We could also point out how both individual we could perfect ourselves in singular and as a recognized larger fundamentaly shared collective, which could then act to other collectives in deciding the most long term advantagis path so as not to give a single indivuual capable of ignorance this potentially harmful secondary cost based on individual benefit opposed to a greater benefit to the entire family, how cant those who choose profit for themselves hurt that which supports their existance.. hopefully the focus would switch from short turn benefit from an individual to the longer term for the family, if this was a norm it could beneficial..

on hindsight reordering family structers might prove more difficult than creating other signifcant advances which could lead to another path,, for a few men to create the solution to free energy opposed to billions reordering how they structure there a reality based on the believe that a more collective family influence and connection systemwould outweigh any singular an entity much make if only in the immediate considering selfish actions...

this has many many wholes, i might consider it laughable by tomorrow but i like to think atleast im generating ideas..

edit** just realized i sound like a pro borg philosopher, nevertheless if you want to make an impact on a global/national scale , you have to increase the rate you act in unison to produce results and increase in voices to polyphonic opposed to monophonic; 300 million seperate idea/objectives is less than 6 million groups of say fifty. How large is your immediate family, even if we reduce singular short term selfish opinions by by a division of 50. new constituion, let there be no individuals to make any decision contrary or pro to themselves, but act as a united family which is the economy of the soul based on human life on earth, which they, your family would wieigh in, by simply considering the most benefical future for your family you those would do to all humanity.

next is organization, what could ever spur such an event, support and maintain it, all the while remaining objective, how to put in countermeasures to countermeasure of individuals deciding this is a threat ( and it most certainly will be, to them and there singular faint political/econonomical "superior" existance.) A serious question to ask is would the cost of implementing such a scenario for the advantage of man be greater thanthe coston humanity to those who for whatever reason would oppose it.
I dont even think we know for sure how low or high humanity or for better purposes singular humans would go to cofirm their rightenousness opposed to others, even all others, let other existing political entites, who just happen to group themsevles then call themselves or rather associate themselves as one, which seems to affect the result in which there are ever opposes... point being, is it more believalbe, given the advantage of a group has over the others for any reason, to disconnect from that entity deluded in egotistical motivators of a singular power, the individual, even thus quite segregation would be problimatic is harnessed among all these employees to a company/part of government/ ie, surrogate family..... add. simpifly all oppositions to individuality, death, money, status from a lower scale and associate it with a larger gropu scale. the most obvious and true being that , those whom we cherish most,, family...

Onces individuales become federate family states hopefully will occure a shift in prioties.. then again is 300 million individuals with different beliefs potentialy more dangerous than 6 million. would we splinter in factinos far greater or come to more basic truths of right and wrong which when asked most would aggree on, less than acted upon..

I think first and foremost we need openness and transparency when it comes to the inner workings and alterations of foreign policy and the economy.

The financial crisis is something that should work itself out, but for it to work out for the better of Americans I expect we would have to cut out all the tax loopholes, broaden the tax base, cut taxes, establish a more creative and effective tax system that could include such things as imposing a nominal tax (1%) on corporate revenues, cut military spending, consolidate the military and reduce our influence over seas. To put America back on the fast track to economic liberation and prosperity we may need to go as far as cutting entitlement and welfare programs (within reason) and dramatically increasing infrastructure spending.

I think when it comes to foreign policy we just need to step down as a military presence and just focus on keeping a few embassies established and focused on preserving and protecting the other nations political systems. In some cases the best defense is a good offense, but I think it's about time to step up the defense in America, and focus less on destabilizing the middle eastern countries.

To me that basically sums it up. Military conflicts and economic turmoils are the most important issues in my book. The social issues tend to work themselves out in a free and open society.

If you would like to take this a step further and expect an even more drastic change I would like to raise some even more comprehensive solutions.

Our socioeconomic dilemma in America is not one to be taken lightly. The poor-rich gap is widening at an accelerating rate, and this is disturbing to both the consumer economy and the standard of living of the middle class. To fix this solution you need to give ever American choices so that they may climb the social ladder to fiscal stability as well as independence from debt, and all under a very reasonable workload as to not create unrest. Personally speaking we should do it because we love the people, but some people are too cold to be swayed by anything but raw logic. In order to do this you create a socialist system for government workers (which we already have, ever see government wages? They are quite adequate.) coupled with a federal socialist labor force. This would employ under half of the population, but would aim to employ closer to 20% of the population. This would produce commodities and would provide a base price for private companies to compete with, so they can not manipulate the market to serve the tendencies of the greedy. On top of this you would slash taxes for everyone and create a pro-growth economic policy that caters to small business. The rest of the market gets left alone with a minimum amount of restrictions aside from safety and environmental regulations.


As far as foreign policy goes, I would pull all troops from the ground and sell many of the international embassies, leaving just a few in each country and increasing their troop count drastically. To curb terrorism I would impose a massive government intelligence agency based off the M16, with thousands of native Muslim under cover operatives posing as terrorists. This would be the only effective way to root out any substantial opposition. This agency would be backed mainly by drones.

Oh god I'm tooling hard these days. Sorry if I bored anyone.

There has never been a golden age, nor will there ever be. Some generations love to think we need to recreate ages of the past; others love to think we need to create one for the future. The world has never changed; there is a reason for that.

Positivity is futile if not infused with realism. Giving an honest portrayal on this very topic is not contrary to being positive, but actually encouraging it. Everything looks good on paper, the world however is a bit more complex, and I am sure those in the ATS community are aware of that. If you understand this, then you can extrapolate that your second question is not necessary.

I was thinking of making a thread similar to this, but since you have I will post some thoughts here:

The world does need to change, and the biggest barrier, I feel, is language. So, I would propose a new world language, since any decision made to say that English should be the official world language, or Chinese, would be biased. Petition an independent linguistics board to hammer out such a language, and promote it as a way for people to truly speak a worlwide tongue, capable of bringing all people closer.

Money. What do you do? It seems to me that returning to some form of the gold standard, and removing any kind of manipulation of the dollar by outside organizations is the key. Strip out all but the most basic taxes (which would cover infrastructure, aid to children/elderly/veterans/physically and mentally handicapped), and defense (not billion dollar black projects, or offensive wars, or 1,000 bases around the world that we do not need), and teach people how to save for their long term growth and well being.

Promote the idea that we are all human, and that we should consider ourselves humans first, not Americans or Russians. We should all be proud of where we come from, and our own culture, but it shouldn't be how we promote ourselves. We should realize we are all the same, no matter where we come from. All of our differences bring us together, and show just how beautiful we can be in our myriad forms.

War. Impose massive worldwide sanctions to ANY country that creates war. Civil wars must be allowed to take place, unless they spill over into another country's borders.

Transparent government, with shorter terms, and root out corruption. I don't really know how you do this, other than to completely create a new type of government. I don't really know if that's even necessary, or if we just need to start running things the way they should be run.

Just some random ideas, mostly impossible, because most people just don't care about the big picture. And, no matter what they might say, they don't like change.
