White beads in coca-cola?

I never knew what to make of this, and it may be nothing, BUT...

A few months ago, my friend was at a BP gas station inside the little mini-mart. There were two men (of unknown ethnicity-he guessed Middle-Eastern) in front of him at the counter. They didn't have enough money to buy what they were trying to get, but they were only about twenty-one cents short. The cashier wouldn't let them slide, but the men kept pleading with her . My friend, being impatient, gave the men a quarter so he could get outta there faster; as, after all, he was behind them in line.

When he went outside, one of the men said, "Hey, thanks. By the way, don't drink Coke."

I still wonder what they meant by that...

Maybe they were employed by PepsiCo?

Interesting, and pretty random to say the least. I guess it's just me but I would have inquired further at the point of that statement, then again, I am a consumer of Coca-Cola products so I may be more partial than what your friend is.

So far I have not been swayed by the replies in this thread, or in general for that matter, because well, it's just so tasty

I guess until people start dropping dead or turning into zombies from tainted Coke I'll keep drinking the refreshing bubbly deliciousness that is Coke

Yeah, if it happened to me, I woulda asked 'em all kind of questions, like 'Is it *just* Coke, or all Coke products?' And, 'What about Pepsi?' lol But, seriously, I would have asked questions, had anyone said that to me.

That being said, I still drink pop, too . I just won't consume the diet nasty diet stuff. Yuck!
