Bill O'Reilly, a major influence of right wing America and Jon Stewart representing the left, are debating tonight live online. Unlike the presidential debates, this wont be a debate of attacks, but a debate about the issues, views from both sides of the coin. And Beleive me, both O'Reilly and Stweart are much smarter then Obama and Romney, so this will be worth a watch. It cost 5 dollars to watch, but the proceeds go to charity. Who knows, maybe tonight we will figure out whos ideas are better for the nation, Republicans or Democrats. Either way, I cant wait to see Bill O'Reilly get whooped.

O'Reilley isn't anywhere close to a match for Stewart. He'll run circles around him!! (literally!!)

Stewart may be a comedian, but the man is extremely intelligent, that's what makes him a good comedian!
...and O'Reilley is just an idiot

ETA: Ok, I don't normally do "pay per view" things, but I may have to for this.... I'm so gullible

bill.....SHUT UP...

I hate that guy.....he is one of the biggest threats to normal people on earth. His bullying and condescending attitude are only shadowed by his less than honorable tactics when "debating" people on his crap show.

He and Mr. Murdoch think we are all idiots and I hope ( my God NOT forgive me) that bad things happen to this Jerk.

Stewart is alright, but IMO he is too much of a star and a comedian to be truly "informative" He is way too opinion based to be considered more than entertainment. I respect the fact that he outright says he is a comedian and his OPINION is his own.

Bill on the other hand tries to pass of his lies and OPINION as fact and insults people when they call him on it.
They are both entertainers...and take themselves way too seriously. Bill more than Stewart, but both in their own right.

In before the trash talk of FOX NEWS!

Jon Stewart is just a mouthpiece for the liberals just like Samuel L. Jackson and Jessica Alba is. So the only thing they'll do to run circles is makes lots of straw men, try to put words in his mouth, try to redefine things he says, and otherwise obfuscate any way he can to make O'Reily and the republicans look bad.

That is his job, after all.

Stewart is not an impartial comedian commentator.

Stewart is not an impartial comedian commentator.

But O'Reilly is????

sheesh.

Stewart and Colbert are the most rational, intelligent, and adroit personalities on TV;
Even my 73-year-old mom was delighted with the bumper sticker (Stewart/Colbert 2012) I gave her on Mother's Day;
and she is a Republican.

I've noticed how Stewart and Colbert are "vilified" (if not "demonized") on this site. ATS, seriously.....are you not paying attention? Those two tell it like it is, and give us very healthy balance.

Yet, when anyone brings one of them up, there is next to no response. Scared?
WHY?

Both are very erudite men. But that said, they both have opinions that matter to them, not so much us, as we have our own.

Should be entertaining.

And best of all, the only winner will the charities they support.

Stewart and Colbert are brilliant. They may be liberals, but they put both democrats and republicans on blast whenever it needs to be done. Jon Stewart has done more for Ron Paul then any other person on tv this election, and Colbert has publicized the error of money in politics and superpacs more then anybody else. I dont care what political party you belong to, they are great Americans.

I make it a point two watch both of these guys each day. They do blast both sides, but it is obvious they are a little left of center. They may be comedians, but they tell it like it is in a way that MSM won't.

To get my news I go to a couple MSM sites, then check out RT and Al-jazeera and compare slants on the days stories. Then I go to Colbert and Stewart to LOL. It helps to bring me down from the reality of what is going on. I can then be one of the blissful masses going about my day.

Did you happen to hear his interview with Terry Gross the day of the debate? (Colbert, that is.)
He said when he went for getting on the primary ballot in '08 in South Carolina (his home state), he was worried he might get it, and he was going to "stage" a huge scandal, with him being "staggering drunk in his underwear outside" (I paraphrased).......so he could get out of it.

Would have been hilarious. He said his wife was rather nonplussed with the idea of having to stand beside him and be "supportive and strong".....
still.....
YEAH, Off topic, but THEY ARE GENIUSES.

s/f, btw

O'reilly is doomed.I'll never forget when a Canadian journalist he was interviewing told him he thought Al-Jazeera had more validity than Fox news.I thought O'reilly was gonna poop!lol

Love them or hate them, it should be a good debate because each one is unbiased towards their own party at times.
Stewart fairly slams Obama from time to time, and he won't make excuses for him.

Another debate I would really love to watch is Dennis Miller vs Bill
Maher.

I'll be looking forward to the edited version of this debate.

Edited as in, where O'Reilly is omitted from the interview.

You're more than welcome to think that, but my point still stands, Bill isn't a Republican. Disagreeing with a Liberal doesn't make someone a Republican.

Of course hes independent. His show is completly fair and balanced. If he was anything other then independent, his show would produce a bias for a certain presidential nominee.

O Reilley is not even close to being a "Republican"

The dude beleives in gun control and he believes big oil should be controlled.

Just goes to show those who deride him never listen to him.
