The answer is no.
While there are a few other factors, we are paying more because the Federal Reserve in collusion with our government is devaluing our dollar.
And since all commodities are priced in dollars, naturally the prices will rise or we will be able to afford less with the same amount of money i.e. inflation.
Of-course the government doesn't include the price of commodities in the CPI so it can claim that inflation is low and so the Federal Reserve can continue to devalue our dollar while telling us that prices arent rising...
