Our sun doesn't have the mass to become a black hole. It will expand to a red giant, possibly with a diameter all the way out to Mars, blow off its outer layers to form a planetary nebula, and remain a white dwarf until it cools and fades away.

But by that time, we would of already destroy earth and about 6 other planets, and been on our 54.493rd Justin Bieber.

Now a gamma ray burst, yah we wouldn't enjoy that smashing into us.

That depends on your concept of destruction, I suppose. I'm firmly planted in the belief that we need to utilize all the resources we have available to ensure the survival of our species. If we have to scrape a planet bare, but it means we get to continue on in the universe the ends justify the means. Though I just can't find a reason for even a single Justin Bieber!
