How is it that you managed to edit that post into the garbeled mispelled bit that it is?

Pandoras box is just a myth. Even if it was a box that had all the evils in the world contained in it, it'd be empty now anyways. How exactly would a box have that in it anyway?

Pandora's box is one of many Hellenic creation stories it is an integral part of the Prometheus legend and the box to spite popular belief the box did have an upside. While it did release "evil" into the world it also released "hope" for mankind. The legend has no more historical evidence to back it up than any other mythological greek stories.

I think the box is something that was used to describe a time, or in a sense to be a metaphor on life....Something like once we lived in a time of harmony, but we soon began explorting our ways, and the world became evil....

Just an idea

Yeah, I think the Pandora's box is more a metaphor for a certian time or something. Not an actual box.

I thought Pandora released everything except "Hope".

If "Hope" got loose then mankind wouldn't have it...

Beneath the vessel's verge conceal'd from light."

Assassin, what do u think the answer to your question is?

```
like some said, Pandora's Box is a Myth & metaphor
But, that metaphor stands for something real
In our time (1945-present)
there was the Pandoras Box called E=MC2...the atomic bomb resulted
Today, 2004, the new Pandoras Box is the DNA & genetic engineering
which may unleash soldier clones, human hybrid mutations, etc etc
*look up a story book, Sci-fi type, 'The Island of Dr Moreau' (i think?)
I doubt the box itself exists , but the story is in some type of way fact. It Is fact in more of a metaphorical way.
I have to say that is an interesting take on the whole subject and in a way you make a strong point....The things we play with in order to try and progress ourselves are usually the ones that cause us the most problems.
