As a severe storm blew through the suburbs of Baltimore, Maryland, several accidents resulted in the injuries of at least 49 people. At least 4 large
accidents were reported on Interstate 95.

WHITE MARSH, Md. Oct. 16, 2004 � Dozens of vehicles crashed Saturday in separate accidents on Interstate 95 as a storm blew through a Baltimore
suburb, injuring at least 49 people and forcing authorities to shut down the highway.
Some of the injuries were serious, but no deaths were immediately reported.
Maryland State Police Cpl. Rob Moroney said there were at least four large accidents along a five-mile stretch of I-95. The accidents started
happening about 4:30 p.m. when the sky darkened and hail and rain started falling.

Around 4:30pm the skies started to darken and quarter sized hail accompanied heavy rains. In one particular crash 22 were injured in one accident in
which a bus carrying 30 people were involved. A tractor trailer was witnessed running one car over. Some witnesses claim that he saw at least 90
crashed vehicles.
Currently there are several lanes still closed on I-95 due to the collisions including:

- Baltimore County
(I-95 N. OF WHITE MARSH (EXIT 67)) North 4 of 4 Northbound lanes closed.
- Baltimore County
(MD 25 AT PADONIA RD) North/South Southbound shoulder closed.
