Why is there a shadow of a "person" in this Mars rover image?

If you look closely at the shadows head you can see hair sticking out,
can anyone see what I'm seeing?

I see what you are seeing, but I'm thinking it's some part of the rover. But yes I see it. I noticed it earlier.

That thing that looks like a visor shadow is a rock.

I can see what you mean.

I understand that people are saying that the shadow is just part of rover....so can someone please show me which art of the rover has uneven "ruffled" parts like a human head of hair?

Thanks.

Reminds me of shadow art. It could be - maybe the geeks at NASA have a sense of humor after all.

"Dude, let's make it like this so when the light hits it just right, all the conspiracy nuts will think there's a guy on board."

"Seriously, Mac?"

"C'mon, bro, you know you wanna!"

"...Let's do it!"

Kind of, but can you explain why the working parts at the bottom of the white arm, look nothing like the shape of that shadow?

Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying i believe there's a guy there, i just want to know where the shadowed shape of hair comes from, because it certainly isn't from that round thing at the base of that arm.

Probably because it's not in the same position as in that picture.

In the picture I posted, the arm is folded in toward the body. The entire person-esque shape would be the end of the robot arm, with its assorted parts (translating into bumps and "hair" in shadow). Here's the shadow in yet another position:

Not quite sure there was any need for the eyes....but anyway....

Even from a different position, how are those working parts and that round drum or wheel shaped thing anything like hair?

I can see how the arm (the white mechanical arm i mean) would fit the shadow, just not the "hair shape" at the top.

If it's not the equipment at the end of the arm, then the equipment's missing, because that's exactly where it should be. Unless, of course, the cleaning guy pocketed it.
Or it could be that the robot arm hasn't had a haircut in months. There are no good barbers on Mars, apparently...just squeegee guys.

It is a bit better than the thread that had a picture of a rock with imaginary 'wires' sticking out of it.

The shadow of the rover actually does look something like a person.
