Or is it all just a scam?

Seems to be the big thing in relation to depression etc these days.

Is it something you have to go to a specialist for or can you do it at home?

Lol, it works for some people but it feels so stupid. I've dabbed a bit with NLP and for the most part it's a load of BS. You're supposed to like tap your wrist and suddenly feel alleviated of all your worries, but you're standing there in public tapping your wrist and you realize how stupid you look, lol. For the most part it's a scam, though it can work as a placebo for some people. People who are depressed are often just feeling resistance, not actual depression, and so typical methods of alleviating depression don't work for them. To overcome resistance you need to either accept the aspects of your life that you're resisting or change them.
