The world we live in today is our collective manifestation.

Those of us who have kids or can remember what it was like to be a kid, know that young children perceive the world as it is, they don't analyse, reflect or judge any situation the way we do. Regardless what we believe at what point life actually begins, when kids are born all what matters is the moment, they have no concept of past and future, they are just deeply immersed in the now. Children love and trust unconditionally.

Our life might be preconditioned, but it is not predetermined. Everything we've experienced as childs has shaped our reality and formed our perception of the world.

If children live with criticism, they learn to condemn.
If children live with hostility, they learn to fight.
If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.
If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.
If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.
If children live with fairness, they learn justice.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.
- Dorothy Law Nolte

I deliberately posted this in "New World Order", because what we teach our kids today, what they accept as truth from us, will determine what solutions they will find for the world tomorrow.

I like your posting.

Everyone should always remember that children are the most advanced copy-machines in the world! And they adapt to the environment! Do something bad, they will see and remember it. They will try to find ways to emulate it, or ways to hinder it. Never underestimate them.

I always try to give my children the most objective view on the world, always remembering them to try to get to the bottom of everything. I think that children have to learn how to learn.

Excellent point. The Children See Children Do video makes a superb analysis, should be shown as a public information film campaign.

You are the bows from which your children
as living arrows are sent forth.
The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite,
and He bends you with His might
that His arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;
For even as He loves the arrow that flies,
so He loves also the bow that is stable.
