The Taliban released a video clip that shows their fighters preparing for the Sept. 14 suicide assault on Camp Bastion in Helmand province, Afghanistan. The video includes footage of a planning session in front of a whiteboard that has a map of the base; the video also shows two of the fighters
In the Taliban video clip released today, several fighters are seen dressed in US Army digital combat fatigues. The faces of many of the members of the assault team are digitally blocked. Two members of the team provide their wills; one of them speaks in English.

Why release a video?

Just seems real dumb and pointless to do so. I mean what are they proving?

The Islamic website it was released on said they plan to release the full video at a later point...why wait?

The dress and camouflage does match the US issues. Wonder if they stole them during their several raids on NATO supply routes?
Thats why I was wondering if they were stolen? sold by someone from within for cash (just the way several other goodies and hardware is sold in the international black market).

Uniforms could be stolen, but there are a couple alternatives. They can be purchased online.
The most likely way they got them is right out of the trash. When soldiers are leaving to finally come back home after a year, they have more stuff than they left with. We were told to cut up any uniforms or ACU items before throwing them away because they are used by the enemy. You are on your way home, you have money in the bank from deployment, you don't give a second thought to throwing away a few uniforms that wont fit in your bags.
