This in not a prediction. I will not be surprised if the theory I illustrate henceforth does not come to pass, or if it proves to just be an insane
paranoia. It is just something I have thought about and come back to from time to time. Mostly while discussing politics and mutual world
views/opinions with my closest confidant and best friend.
It also has the potential to be controversial, though this is ATS and we are pretty used to controversial. I do not wish to upset anyone or hurt any
feelings, and if the Feds happen to be reading this, as they well may be, let me state with all of you as witnesses (hopefully someone reads this
thread) that this is pure speculation and I unequivocally denounce any and all violence directed towards anyone at all, period. This is purely for
discussion sake.
Let's assume that there are a group of people with similar interests controlling major world events from behind the scenes. The Powers That Be, if
you will. Let's assume they hold the influence to create and destroy people at their will and even if others are not on their payroll, they can
manipulate people to do their bidding and orchestrate distractions in order to keep the masses clueless to their true motives. Now let's assume they
hold no allegiance to any motive except their own, and manufacture public opinion in order to play sides against one another. Lets assume they do this
with American politics, using the Left-Right paradigm in order to polarize the public while keeping their policies always in place. They use their
unlimited power and resources to control society, the media, and the education system to purposefully dupe the majority of this country, if not the
world.
Our society is becoming more divided and polarized and has been for many years now. The country is more divided then ever - in almost every way
conceivable. Left vs Right. Rich vs Poor. Black vs White. Young vs Old. Christian vs Muslim. No matter who is in charge it seems, what political party
is in control, or who is President, it seems people are becoming more prone to blame someone for their woes. We cannot say that things never really
change, because they do. Things continually get worse for "every day, normal" people. The poor are getting poorer, the rich richer, and the middle
class has all but disappeared. A major redistribution of wealth seems to be taking place. Fear is prevalent and instead of taking up arms, people have
still put their trust in the system. Those who wish to make a difference and take responsibility have been trained to trust institutions such as
government and democracy, and voice their displeasure through taking part in the political process and voting, or protesting. But like a cancer that
spreads through a body infecting the whole at a disorienting rate, our system has been corrupted and is spiraling towards death.
We live in the most exciting time in human history, this is for sure. Human willpower and the capabilities of the mind have brought us to the pinnacle
of advancement, on both sides of the spectrum, with tools like the internet being used to accomplish unprecedented goals, both good and evil. In the
20th century, we saw the glimpses of our true potential. Unfortunately, the scales have been tipped towards the negative end and war and disease have
become daily occurrences. We who live in the civilized world have been buffered from much of this, but more than occasionally this buffer comes in the
form of mind-numbing entertainment - professional sports, celebrity gossip and obsession, drugs, and so much more - and the prison we have been
confined to has been one of our own creation, driven by our animalistic urges.
A couple of years into the new millennium, people around the world began to get angry and fed up. I would not use the term "waking up", though I do
believe there are many who have. But the vast majority reached a breaking point. Here in America, after eight years of Bill Clinton followed by eight
years of George Bush, they were desperate for some sort of drastic change from the status quo. Enter Barack Obama.
For those of us who consider ourselves "in the know" or enlightened to some degree, we were aware that when Barack Obama became the 44th President
of the United States, and the first African American president elected, nothing would be altered. The train would stay on it's tracks, for the most
part. But from the perspective of the every day person it was exactly what they had been hoping and waiting for. I believe people put an incredible
amount of hope in him, and believed electing the first black president was such a change from the past considering the racial implications that there
was no way everything else would not change along with his election. It's my belief that Barack Obama was the greatest straw man every concocted.
They set him up as the traditional figurehead, the POTUS, the man, and began a campaign against him to hit him from every direction. He takes all of
the heat, all of the blame for what is happening in this country and allows the true culprits for many of our woes to go unnoticed. After the hype
wound down relatively quickly, every day Americans bought the rumors, the smears, and totally forgot about everything else. The 2008 housing market
crash/banking swindle may have been the greatest criminal act in the history of the world. The creation of synthetic derivatives such as Credit
Default Swaps taken out as effectively a bet that banks would fail on a major scale, not to mention sub-prime mortgage loans floated into the market
creating a bubble and Collateral Debt Obligation used to screw over the middle class was quite literally a complex heist, and they got away with it
because everyone became worried our President was a Muslim, or a Socialist, or whatever.
To sum this up - I now wonder how Barack Obama can be useful to those same Decision Makers I spoke of, and the answer frightens me. With the election
looming and the US seemingly on the brink of war, President Obama at least externally has seemed hesitant to back Israel and their campaign against
Iran thus far. I believe, as it is not hard to tell, that the neoconservative regimes in both the US and Israel are anxious for war. Since the Middle
East uprisings, I have been worried we were seeing a campaign to turn the tide so to speak of the American public's opinion, but I believe it will
take something bigger to push them over the hump. I am almost convinced we will see an attack on US soil...but what kind of attack? Well, this is the
point of my thread, and many of you are sharp and have figured out where I am leading to. I believe the next best way that Barack Obama can serve the
Decision Makers is to be killed - to die. I think the attack we will see will be a successful assassination attempt on President Obama. This will
serve many purposes in my mind. It will generate support for war. They will be able to say he was too soft on terrorism and amp up the military
operations. And they would have pretext for martial law-type domestic policies, possibly even going after those who fell for the trap and ended up
hating him to an extreme level. I hope to God this does not happen, and I'll be the first to admit it is simply conjecture, obviously I have no links
or evidence - I will not be surprised if it does not come to pass. But the reason I am writing this right now is this scenario makes sense to me
