The Obama MSM, doing damage control 24/7. How do you Obama supporters feel about the mass media being nothing more than lap dogs and liars for Obama? You rage about Fox all the time, but you're totally silent when it comes to the dozen news networks lying and deflecting for your guy. Why is that?

www.mediaite.com...

During an interview on CBS’ 60 Minutes on Sunday night, Steve Kroft asked Presidnet Barack Obama about some of his campaign’s ads which fact checkers have taken issue with for their factual inaccuracies. The president conceded that some of his ads may go “overboard.” Those who watched the interview on Sunday night, however, missed this moment because CBS opted not to air this segment.

“Look, the fact-checkers have had problems with the ads on both sides, and say they’ve been misleading and in some cases just not true. Does that disturb you,” Kroft asks the president. “I mean, some of them are your ads.”

“Do we see sometimes us going overboard in our campaign. Are there mistakes that are made, areas where there is no doubt somebody could dispute how we are presenting things? You know, that happens in politics,” Obama replied.

They rage about fox because its ratings blow the liberal channels out of the water.

10-11PM RNC Coverage — Total Viewers

Fox News: 6,878,804
NBC: 4,770,050
CBS: 3,118,927
ABC: 2,862,656
CNN: 1,473,885
MSNBC: 1,468,348

Fox News Beats All Cable And Broadcast Networks

Do the liberal channels give Obama an easy ride? Is the Pope a Catholic?

It's just a pity for them that fewer and fewer people can put up with their obvious left wing propaganda.

Wait, are you suggesting that any channel that isn't Fox "news" is liberal?

well, its not...I would venture to say only MSNBC is truely liberal, the rest are churchmouse meek centerists..but ok..lets go with they are alllllllll liberal.

add the numbers together then between all the station.

Majority wins, aye?

As far as the topic at hand...It reflects favorably on Obama when he admits that the ads go overboard...it shows that he has a heart.
And they cut it out!
This demonstrates the clear conservative bias of the msm! Why would they cut out a touching thoughtful expression of humanity?!

(see what I did there?)

Because of deregulated free market financial incentives. Tabloid journalism sells and every network engages in it. Now you can vent, violently and angrily about how the left has made a mess of the entire world, including the news. with their evil free market agendas.

Oh, and as stated above, editing a legal, common, and accepted part of editorial control.

But if you want a level playing field, please feel free to call your guy and let him in on this little trick of the trade. I bet he'll be thrilled to find out that he can manipulate the press. Might even turn the whole thing around for him.

And you illustrated it so beautifully, too! I think MSNBC is the counter to FOX, as far as their political slant goes. The others are fairly neutral. That's why I make sure to watch both. If you don't, it's hard to see the bias. But some people only want to hear stuff they agree with, so only watch one or the other. :shk:

Added: Heff, you're so right! They ALL lie. I remember when the "news" was really news!
Those were the good old days. Today, MOST of what's on TV is EntertaiNews. I don't take it seriously.

The thing is, that comment made Obama look good, so I am confused as to why you are upset that it was cut. I would think you would be happy it was cut.

Good guy Obama admitting his campaign makes mistakes at times, I like it. If it was aired, it would have just been another example of the glaring difference between Obama and Romney, Obama can admit a mistake and Romney doesn't beleive he is capable of them.

Like most untruthful liberals you left out NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, PBS & NPR (tax payer funded). You also forget about Hollywood and all the print media.

Well, you're wrong. If you look at the demographic break downs, the only people watch the other networks are Democrats. Fox is the only network to have a truly balanced demographic. The other networks are regularly caught lying, spinning or otherwise not reporting news that might damage Obama. They're also ALL liberals and Democrats. I challenge you to find a single right leaning personality on any of the other networks. You won't be able to.

Are you inferring that the Romney camp does NOT edit out things they don't like? You do realize that standard interview contracts for high end celebs and politicians all include an editorial control rider. Right? A right to final review. Are you suggesting that Mitt Romney does not use these tools?

They didn't air a lot of segments, but they did post them on their website for all to enjoy.

Unaired excerpts

They didn't have time for everything.

Can you read? I didn't leave anything out. I said, "The others are fairly neutral." and by "the others", I mean NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, PBS & NPR. You know... THE OTHERS.

And I also think that Obama admitting to some mistakes makes him appear more likeable and human. It would have been an advantage to have that in the Interview.

Thats fine
That then means that liberal viewers outnumber conservative viewers.
Making this a liberal country based on a republic structure.

Kneel to Zod!

Now, a challenge.
Hell, lets start with MSNBC, which is a total liberal media..no doubt there.
joe scarborough (anchor), Pat Buchanian (commentator until he was fired for writing a pro-racist anti-homosexual book..bad pr). And thats just msnbc, two strong conservatives..well, 1 now, but on their popular block. Match that with faux news at the same time with 3 nitwit "conservative's" (I put quotes around it because they are the new gop, not the actual conservatives of reagan..they are pro-american taliban.

CNN:
Wolf Blitzer - I don't know his stances, because he is neutral
Anderson- I don't know his stances, because he is neutral

Those are the three big network news sites. Fox news - nothing but conservative. MSNBC, -liberal, CNN - Independent and a bit dull due to no fact checking and basically a microphone for either party without any serious questions.

My father, whom is pretty much Rush Limbaugh, watches Fox and CNN. He as of late is becoming less and less impressed with fox however because even though he is a conservative, he is also fairly intelligent and is becoming a bit grumpy at how fox is treating their audience...he still watches every show though sadly...indoctrination at its finest.

Personally, I only watch Maddow in regards to commentators...she is ace. The rest of the commentators on every network news show are just blowhards using emotional arguments over substantive numbers. Rachael is a heavyweight...not many heavyweights left out there.

There's editing for time and editing for content. This was a content edit, and a transparent one, as well.

Ahh, but you don't understand the mind of a conservative.
If your not banging on the desk demanding Obama is a kenyan muslim alien, then your clearly a liberal.
If you start using facts and figures...your a liberal.
If you have yet to call Obama a socialist, you are a liberal.

Surely you get those chain letters. XD

Can you point me to a politician who isn't a liar perhaps? I actually would love to find one so that I can write his name in this November.

They also didn't air the Romney segment about the stealth fund raiser recording and the 47 % .

I actually thought 60 minutes did a pretty good, balanced job on this piece. I was expecting less.
