A lot of these quotes are actually used in day to day life in the military...by those with a sense of humor.

Once the Army went to the ACU and rank was velcro'd on, I used to take my rank off my chest and thump it against the forehead and between the eyes of the person who offended me.

I didn't watch much SG-1. I don't know why, it just never grabbed me when I watched it. SG-U on the other hand I LOVED.......but did the show REALLY jump the shark like that, or did you just make that quote up as a goof?

Also.....seeing this thread title on the front page got me nervous. I though RDA died or something and this was a tribute thread.

Maybe the dialogue didn't go word for word like I posted, but that's what I recall from some outtake I saw not so long ago. The video of "...I'm stuck on a glacier with MacGyver!" looks new to me.

That were one of my favorite episodes. Loved it! The Ark of Truth was an awesome ending to the series. I wish they could have started up a couple new seasons. New aliens, different galaxy...!

Funny you should post this. I was doing some research this week. If you don't know, the Star gate - the real one - was dug up in 1923. Dean A. was given a brigadiers title. SG 1 was produced by the DoD. Lately they have tied quite a few things in. The Prometheus "Movie" ties into "Aliens" and "Dreamcatcher" as well as "X-Files Movie 'I want to Believe'. SG-1, Season 8 Episode 8 shows the Prometheus, and in the New movie 'Prometheus' they used the same silhouette. So I go on, and then pull up Ancient Aliens, there was a piece in there about the 'glowing eyes' (Shining Ones/Lilith). And started laughing...who produced it? "Prometheus Group'.
They shut it all down because they found out..finally..who the 'greys' were, and what they were doing. Playing 'good guys' to the military and then behind their backs they were causing these horrific scenarios. Their Racial name is the El(ohiem) - the "illu" and 'Illumi' from the 33rd degree entrance; and they were called demons for just this reason. We are a food source to them. It is their Covens that are wreaking all the 'religious' wars as a means of harvesting bodies - they 'possess' and the eyes shine abit when they do. "AL, IL, EL" are 'latin suffixes for god '...El. They are the offspring branch of SET who is An and that is who invaded. "Azaz-el". This is the Coven Papal.

I think my main reason for watching SG 1 is that blonde from Essex in England, (Amanda tapping) although the storylines are damned good.

I'm going to guess you're all SG-1 fans...
