The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.


For those that don't like Google's way of doing things, specially related with privacy, but like Chrome, you can always use SRWare's Iron.

There is no issue at college with the site.

I can view things perfectly through a proxy server on my home computer. It's only through my own IP address on my home computer (as well as my wife's computer on the same network). These things prove that it is not a technical issue, and that it is a direct and intentional action by the ISP (or possibly the government). Though, I don't know why anyone would block ATS image capability... Why not block the entire site? And honestly, I wasn't aware that blocking media/images alone was even POSSIBLE.

Have you asked someone that uses the same ISP to try it, to see if it's also blocked?

And yes, the ISP can block (or change, some ISP re-encode the images to make them smaller) any type of content.

Check your Java, this looks like a Java problem. I have seen it before, when I first install Fedora and before I install Sun Java on it.
