Lovely clip there Zazz and would sure love to see the first missing 35 frames of the Mariana footage (apparently showing rotating discs) that he states were stolen by the US Government (am not holding my breath though).

Also couldn't agree more about Mr Chop - maybe he really was one of the Pentagon's 'last honest men' .

Out of curiosity, do you have a firm opinion about what caused the "1952 DC flap"?

Project Palladium test? Inversion? Perceptual confusion regarding a natural phenomenon? Something more unusual?

Appreciate the post mate (and direct question) -certainly think the temp inversion explanation is a load of bollocks and a person really does has to factor in the visual sightings witnessed at the same time and area - there were also claims of witness intimidation from military superiors (Andrews CTP) and other witness testimony of structured craft so I don't really know what to think.

No firm option but can't find anything wrong with Dr James Mcdonald's analysis to the Committee on Science and Aeronautics in the sixties:

'An instance of unidentified aerial objects over our capital'
