As anti-American sentiment boils in Islamic countries like Egypt, lawmakers are moving to permit billions of dollars in US foreign aid under a government-wide funding bill set to clear Congress this week.
In the case of Egypt, turmoil since the overthrow of U.S. ally President Hosni Mubarak early last year has delayed the release of hundreds of millions of dollars in economic aid that has been approved over several years.
Republican Rep. Dan Burton mounted a futile protest during House debate on the stopgap spending bill last week.
“I want to know if any of it is going to Libya or Egypt,” Burton said. “Our embassies have been attacked. An ambassador has been killed. The Muslim Brotherhood runs Egypt — and we’re going to give them money? I would like to have an answer.”

Yup, that's it in a nutshell. We go in, destabilize a country, create "regime change", put in a puppet government friendly to American interests, and then the multinatinal corporations come flooding in, like opportunistic vultures, onto a playing field which has been cleared of opposition so that the corporations get in on the ground floor, with super-cheap labor, etc.
Our tax dollars paid for this crap.

This is bordering on the unbelievable. I can understand that the US sent military aid every year under the Mubarek regime. That money was to ensure the Egypt- Israel alliance (from 1979) remained intact and Israel was protected.
Yet, the Muslim Brotherhood is now in charge in Egypt-

I'm not taking sides on this issue, I'm just presenting the current news and trying to make sense of it! the MB are enemies of Israel, huge anti American sentiment is encompassing the middle east and America is about to start sending military aid to them?!!
The only way it makes sense is if the decion makers want trouble, to directly fund a MB in Egypt is to fund the purchase of weapons for a regime intent on going to war with Israel and when it comes to it, America will fight on the side of Israel. Try and work that one out.

In 1988 the US wanted a reason for regime change in Iraq, so the US State Department sent in the CIA to stroke Saddam after the 8 year Iran/Iraq war. The US government sold Saddam, in the first shipment anyway, about a billion dollars in arms. The purpose of the arms shipment was to replenish Saddam's weapons stockpile and give him some updated equipment for the specific end-goal of invading Kuwait. This was put together by the US State Department with the help of the French, English, Israeli's and the South Africans. Actually, the G5 cannons were added to the shipment by South Africa ministers and military contractors to make a bit more money in the deal.
So when the US went in and started bitch slapping Saddam for doing what the US told Saddam to do with Kuwait, the weapons Saddam troops were using were organized for Saddam by the US State Department. So Iraqi soldiers using US weapons to fire on US soldiers using US weapons. Sounds like "friendly-fire" to me???? Or at least all staged!
The same thing will happen with Egypt. The US will supply the MB to go against Israel so the US can come in and save the day and their will be more "friendly-fire." Problem-->Reaction-->Solution-->New Paradigm.

the plan was to isolate Israel and set up this conflict.

This has been the plan all along, and the fact that the US is now going to send billions of tax dollars to this regime that is an enemy to the west and Israel is the icing on the cake.
I appreciate your points bobs_uruncle, you summed it up well and I'm glad you see what is going on as well.
It's epic divide and conquer and P-R-S. But you have to see the overall picture- that the elite want Israel to be attacked now, the plan was to isolate Israel and set up this conflict.
