A lone appeals judge bowed down to the Obama administration late Monday and reauthorized the White House’s ability to indefinitely detain American citizens without charge or due process.
(OP LINK)
The stay will remain in effect until at least September 28, when a three-judge appeals court panel is expected to begin addressing the issue.

Sadly, many here in ATS told about all this years back, see, we told people that Bush big government policies, will open the door to presidents after him to widen the power but as usual we were the anti bush crowd.
We told them so.
In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence. -Sixth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution
The United States argues that the plaintiffs had no basis to fear being locked up for their activities, and that the judge's order interfered with the president's powers at a time of war.
“The fact that I support this bill as a whole does not mean I agree with everything in it,” President Obama wrote. “In particular, I have signed this bill despite having serious reservations with certain provisions that regulate the detention, interrogation, and prosecution of suspected terrorists.”

All I can say is that the no good POS judge that ruled on this needs to be dragged out of office, lynched, beaten, and hanged from the nearest tree. This tyrannical bastard took an oath to uphold the US Constitution and ruling that indefinite detainment of US Citizens is constitutional is a direct antithesis to his oath and duty.
This judge is a traitor and a tyrant and deserves to be treated as such. This just shows what a bunch of no good tyrannical bastards we have in positions of power in this country.

I love how Obama is all like:
“The fact that I support this bill as a whole does not mean I agree with everything in it,” President Obama wrote. “In particular, I have signed this bill despite having serious reservations with certain provisions that regulate the detention, interrogation, and prosecution of suspected terrorists.”
If that's the case why not amend the bill to exclude those provisions....instead of just letting them slide? Smells like bull# to me.
