It is a real story. I used the search engine on their website news2.onlinenigeria.com... - "crucify cat" and found the story has been archived. It was posted 22 hours 29 minutes ago. The comments are rolling in below the story:

Emotional Arguments Aside....

I wonder why the media is going on claiming that every Muslim or that majority of are upset and that these protests are spreading everywhere, when the majority of Muslims live in an area where there has been no protests or mention of this.


South & Southeast Asia 1,005,507,000 Muslims.

Can somebody tell me why then, there are no protests against America in the sections of the world containing the most of the 'enemy' ? ( not any that I've been made aware of.)

Maybe because Islam isn't actually anti American perhaps? Maybe it's just the parts of the world where the US and others have stuck their nose too many times, in failure.

I don't care if people kill people, but it makes me sick when an animal is inhumanely killed for no reason.

It's inexcusable and unfortunate for what they did to that cat. An innocent being that was unable to defend itself, however, PETA, in reality, is no friend of any animal.

That is a shocking image for sure but the article provides no context to the pic. I cannot tell what is going on in that pic other than a group of young men are walking around with a cat nailed to a cross. Until more context is provided for this pic I have to say this is a hoax for sure.
