I am also a firm believe that the Moon is occupied.

See, we do have something in common...

But this video is a hoax, I'm almost sure. The yt poster's history is not out there, it's waaaaay out there...

That's a first flag.

The video about the moon landings is CGI.

Second flag.

The video you have provided for inquiry is very similar to the one where we see the CGI effect at 1:06...

I could be wrong and remain open minded but I won't hold my breath. I'll wait and see what other members contribute.

Your opinion is dually noted and appreciated
It can very well be a hoax.
But I think because I've seen this before (like I keep saying; from amateur astronomers) I know this is happening more than we realize.

But like you're saying, this doesn't mean this isn't hoaxed. I just wish there was a way to eliminate hoaxers or at least have them face some type of consequence if/when they're caught because videos like this are truly is a diversion from the truth.
Because I feel most people hoax videos to add noise and confusion on purpose (like paid shills) whereas a handful of pranksters do it out of boredom.

Computer generated particles.

And what does "How they are fake is irrelevant?" Really?

I think there's something missing from your question, but I guess it's "..mean?"
What it means is that if something is fake, it is irrelevant how it is faked, unless your purpose is to spend time on knowing how all faked videos out there are being made.

Is it faked or misunderstood?

Still faked.

Not sure why you think your humble opinion supersedes explainable mechanics?

It doesn't. But in this case, these two things are the same thing.

I sure hope you're not in the educational field.

Because I don't want to educate nonsense, or what some people "want to hear" to make their daily lives brighter?
I like to stick to reality.

Arken my friend,

Is this the far side of the Moon? Because according to the phases, it was a new Moon on the 15th.

Can the far-side be lit up through a lens?

Great to see you!!!!

You can't see the far side of the moon from earth.

It's tidally locked to us so we see the same side all the time. (give or take a few degrees of latitude, depending on the cycle.)

I have no issues with you. I merely commented on your post?
However, your "sheesh" and "should have put my cyber-armor on" indicate that you got offended instead?

I'd rather hear you agreeing or disagreeing with what I said and not talk about something completely different, though.

What are you talking about?????

The far (dark) side is exposed to us when it's a new Moon. The dark side appears dark to us that's why we STILL can't see it.

Why doesn't every one realize this???????????
It's so basic.
It's so simple.
It's so 5th grade-ish.

The Moon rotates but it's timed in a tidal lock so it's rotating at the same speed as it's orbiting us.

Good gawd I wish I didn't have to go into this every other month on here.
Someone please....help me to help them.

The. Moon. Rotates.

One would think though, if you're going to go through all the trouble to hoax the audience, you'd dot all your I's and cross all your T's and make sure (something as stupid as the phase of the Moon) won't trip you up.

One might think that but this guy is THAT stupid!

My thought is: can you use a filter on a new Moon and illuminate it?

Illuminate the Moon? From Earth? With.... a.......?

The 'new' Moon is actually the dark side of the Moon which is facing us (much to the chagrin of those who don't think the Moon rotates. Because it DOES), so is this the dark side? I can't tell.

The "Dark side" is not constant. Near side and far side are constant.

This is the first, only and last time I will address this annoying misnomer.

When the 'dark' side FACES the us, it's a new Moon. Look at this demonstration.

Please learn. I don't blame you really because it's been such a false rumor but I do blame everyone for at least not trying to realize and learn we've been wrong.

Illuminate the Moon with a computerized lens or something from within the telescope.

I know how the Moon rotates and works. You're preaching to the choir. I just wish everyone realized that the Moon DOES rotate as it orbits because it's so basic.

Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate you making this an educational-like thread.

We don't see the "dark side" on a new moon.

We only see basically one side as illustrated above, with phases.

Please answer me this and ONLY this. Please.

It's a new Moon right now.

What side of the Moon is facing us?

Answer just this one question. Your choice is
1) the far side
2) the Face

Thanks!

You're very confused about this. The portion of the Moon illuminated by the Sun varies but the portion facing Earth remains the same. Take some time and get this worked out in your mind.

This video is a completely fabricated HOAX.

You're 1000% wrong.

Every single Moon thread always goes off into this void of discussing the Moon's phase.
If 7 billion people don't understand and agree the simple facts of the Moon's rotation, how can we, as a race, ever move forward?

The side we always see. The far side of the Moon is never visible from Earth.

The Moon's rotation and orbital periods are both just under four weeks, so no matter when the Moon is observed from the Earth the same hemisphere of the Moon is always seen.

This is a HOAX and DEBUNKED. I saw this video on Disclose.TV and viewed the video close-up (white background) on one of the color comparison tests.

This clearly shows these are birds or bats, you can see the wings flap under close-up viewings.

I don't think UFO Fleets, flap their wings...

DEBUNKED!

However, your "sheesh" and "should have put my cyber-armor on" indicate that you got offended instead?

Perhaps it stemmed from the very first of your replies to the thread....dismissing something out of hand as nonsense before all the data is in. I'm finding your posts on this thread to be quite abrupt...but perhaps I'm misinterpreting your attitude based on your taciturn negation of its credibility.

But, back on topic.....
there are not birds on the moon that we know of. ... (I was chuckling when I put in that edit, imagining birds taking to flight from the moon being visible).....Therefore, whoever said it looked like birds had me a bit brow-furrowed for a moment. I suppose it could be an image of birds taking flight, shown as a negative image (so they look white against black instead of vice versa)....and then slightly overlapped onto a photo of the moon, which appears to be at least near full.

The fact that it was a new moon (I'm taking the member's word for it) makes it suspect. I don't know enough about CGI to call it real or fake. It is well done, from my lay-person's pov.

In fact, the only real reason I have to disbelieve it at the moment is that it does not show a "new moon" when supposedly the date given was a new moon. New moon is everywhere, right? Not "new" in one place "full" on the opposite side of Earth.
