From what I understand humans are evolved from predators and myself believe that evolution is a part of Gods plan.

Its an interesting situation. You see in order for us to have become as intelligent as we are our animal ancestor being predators ate meat. The concentration of amino-acids (protein) which both animals and plants are made of is so muchmore in a piece if meat as compared to plants that it looks pretty much impossible for herbivores to have developed the same way.

As a result it is very likely that any intelligent life in our Universe also developed from predators.

As far as why God would do that it does seem the more efficient way.
