Even if someone took the Quran, Hadith and Sira literature and made a movie about muhammed without changing anything, muslims would ask for that person's head.

The presenter on Christ TV is an Muslim convert, he speaks daily about Mohammed the Quran and its teachings and has daily calls to the show from many muslims/ clerics aand sheiks alike. I have personally met him, and i wont say how i know but YES he does get donations from Jews and Christians alike. I do not believe he has made this movie. Although he has made anti-quran movies, he always puts his face and name to it.

Good idea for a thread,however rather than go off into la la land and try to speculate on wild motives and theories why not logically think about the train of thought behind all this.

Why not start by listing the facts about the situation

Rioting in Egypt leads to an attack on the US embassy,complete with the required US Flag burning.

A second "riot" in Libya is reported and results in the death of several Americans. This includes the US Ambass. and his security team.

Further riots have begun around various Muslim countries with attacks on additional US diplomatic properties.

Additonal western countries have also had their diplomatic properties attacked.

There is a film on Youtube that insults muslims

Those are the only facts that we know for sure. The media has sold the story that the Egyptians were rioting because of a "right-wing, anti-muslim film" from the US. That may be complete BS. We really dont know why they were rioting. We dont really know if this obscure film has anything to do with it. We can draw a number of conclusions based on the information present but nothing else is for sure at this point.
If, as is being reported today, the State department had prior warning of threats to the diplomatic staff and facilities then they had time to prepare a media response to those attacks. Its possible that the Sttate department and the administration wanted to tie the rioting to "right wing Christians" in the US. We really dont know for sure on any of this.
The film and its backers are a riddle and obviously thats a murkey area worth looking into.

There was a video on here recently that showed a group asking Afghans about 911.

They were shown photos of it and had no clue what it was about, they'd never heard of 911.

Do we really believe these people are all at home glued to YouTube just like we are?

I have read somewhere that September 11th in the Gregorian calendar is August 29th in the Julian calendar used by the Copts of Egypt, and that August 29th is the NEW YEAR'S DAY in the Coptic calendar. So, September 11th (in the Gregorian calendar) is the New Year's Day for the copts of Egypt.

Yeah, when I just heard that the 80 members of the cast and crew had NO IDEA this was a movie about Mohammed, until the offensive stuff was dubbed over -- I smelled a rat.

One man associated with it was from a Christian hate group. Bacile was thought to be a Christian Arab by the main actress, but he identifies himself to others as Jewish and funded the movie "allegedly" by getting funding from 100 Jewish families.

The peaceful protest in Libya turned violent when a few people in the crowd started to open fire. Once again, we see provocateurs.

It's hard to say if this is PNAC or APAC but I'm not sure I care about the difference. I'm sure both will be investing in Xe (Blackwater) and doing their best to incite the US into a war on Netanyahoo's behalf.

Actually back in 1977 there was a mohammed movie released starring Anthony Quinn...it was called The Message. The only reason the muslim world allowed it to be shown, was that it did not depict mohammed directly...which would have been a violation of their sacred law.

There’s a report that our government knew of the attack 48 hours before it happened. You can’t blame this one on George Bush, but something makes me believe the Democrats and the media will try. The Independent, a UK news source, reports the following

“According to senior diplomatic sources, the US State Department had credible information 48 hours before mobs charged the consulate in Benghazi, and the embassy in Cairo, that American missions may be targeted, but no warnings were given for diplomats to go on high alert and ‘lockdown,’ under which movement is severely restricted.”

We’ve seen it coming. In fact, the Obama presidency started to unravel the day he took office with his hand on the Bible swearing before God and men to uphold the Constitution by closing with “So help me God.”

What’s kept President Obama’s presidency intact for the past four years is the accomplices in the media. The other officers of Media for Christ are Kamal Rizk and Rania Mossad. Media for Christ includes a production house for “The Way,” a Christian satellite television program in English and Arabic launched in 2010 which produces a show hosted by Steve Klein called “Wake Up America.”.

These individuals have connections with each other and with members of the Islamophobia industry. The Islamophobia Industry exists and is engaged in an anti-Muslim Crusade. They have a manifesto for spreading their propaganda. They produce anti-Muslim films. They are forming new organizations and coalitions of organizations at a dizzying speed, not only nationally, but also internationally. They have formed an International Leadership Team “which will function as a mobile, proactive, reactive on-the-ground team developing and executing confidential action plans that strike at the heart of the global anti-freedom agenda.”

Innocent Jewish people around the world have been put in danger.

Here's what happened.

A filmmaker created an amazingly poorly made film. In fact, he should probably be executed for creating something an 8th grader could've done better.

Pastor Terry Jones helped distribute the piece of sh*t.

A group of individuals overseas decided to take advantage of the film and decided to get a bunch of Muslims angry about it (they should've been raging about the horrific green screen effects instead) and its portrayal of their religious institution.

So, demonstrations took place (like every time the Muslim community gets raged up about art making fun or criticizing Islam) and the original individuals who coordinated this plan carried out their agenda, resulting in the embassy attacks.

In other words...this had NOTHING to do with some fuc*ing film. It had to do with pissed off Muslims who were fed up with our noses being stuck in their business (dropping bombs on their homes).

This is PROOF That we need to change our foreign policy...but we won't.

And that my friends sums up this crisis that is currently going on.

In all honesty, I thought this guy was probably a closeted Muslim Brotherhood member who lined his video up with Al Qaeda's video of Ayman al-Zawahri that was released on September 10th. I thought it might be a coordinated effort as a cover for Al Qaeda's video.

But it may just turn out that this is one very ignorant Egyptian. Who in their right mind joins any kind of fanatical or extreme group when you've been busted for Meth trafficking and federal bank fraud charges totaling almost $800,000. Part of his five year probation included NO computer or internet use without prior permission. Are they going to revoke his probation over this? Will this be a California third strike rule? Would this man really be willing to risk that? Or is he just that stupid? None of it makes sense, but then again, I've never lived in the Middle East either. Maybe this makes perfect sense to him.

There's absolutely no truth to that allegation. Any "news" that begins with 'according to some unnamed "senior diplomatic sources" ' isn't worth spit. That rumor is as false as the one claiming the embassy marines were forced to give up their ammo.

What we can discern is this:

The film was made by Joseph Nasralla Abdelmasih. He runs "Media for Christ" studios. He, along with several others involved in the movie have made previous propaganda films against Islam. He also has been heavily involved in Mosque protests, such as those involving Pamela Geller. As this article mentions, he has "thrown his lot in with virulent Islamaphobes in the U.S." - September 11th, Islamophobia, and the ‘Persecution Industry'

The virulent Islamaphobes involved are also not normally shy about their involvement in such projects - Steve Klein, Morris Sadek, Terry Jones, etc.

Their (Media for Christ) previous releases were done under their own names and from their studio (also known as Christ TV). This one - "Innocence of Muslims" - differed from all those in one major respect - they tried to hide their involvement behind a false name, and set up a fall guy ("Sam Bacile") to be blamed when the SHTF. Those earlier releases acknowledged they were Christians, Coptics and Evangelicals. This one - implied they were Israeli Jews, who were funded by "100 Jews" who put up $5 million to make the film.

What does that tell you? It tells us Abdelmasih, Klein, Sadek, et. al. knew this movie was going to lead to some serious repurcusions. That's why they set up Nakoula (Bacile) to take the fall. Maybe they had relied on his criminal expertise with devising aliases and fraudulent identities in hiding their names.

There's also the timing of the media blitz conducted by Sadek and fellow Copts in Egypt, and why - if they are such devoutly anti-Islamic Copts, were they even talking to (and disseminating the movie to) radical Islamic television shows like Sheik Khaled Abdalla? Sadek specifically translated the movie into Arabic and disseminated the film in Egypt utilizing firebrand Islamic radical shows like Abdalla's on Islamist satellite TV channel al-Nas?

No sooner did the "outrage" start, then the protesters were going at the embassy in Egypt and consulate in Libya. According to CNN, someone within the security forces had been working inside with the protestors - so that when the firebombing of the consulate forced the Ambassador to flee his safe house, the assassination squad, armed with RPGs and mortars, were there waiting for him.

The attack that killed four Americans, including the U.S. ambassador, was an organized two-part operation by heavily armed militants that included a precisely timed raid on a supposedly secret safe house just as Libyan and U.S. security forces were arriving to rescue evacuated consulate staff, El-Sharef said. This whole thing was planned out from the beginning - the movie was designed to give the rioters a reason to riot, the heavily armed squad would slip in under cover of rioters to kill the ambassador and any other Americans, and the Egyptian Islamist media would extol the righteous indignity of the "western attack on Islam" to fuel the rioting.

Now maybe, maybe, the movie producers had nothing to do with any of that. It could all have been done strictly from the radical Islamist side (for instance, using the Danish cartoon as their vehicle, instead of the movie), but this begs the question - why did THIS movie, from Abdelmasih, Media for Christ, et. al. break from their previous productions and try to hide the connection back to them? Why did they set up Nakoula as the fall guy? Why gin up the blame on Jews? They were more involved than they are admitting.

This cabal picked the perfect pasty a former informant for the government.I think part of their motivation was the burning of the churches in Egypt a year ago: not to mention the hopes of moving the US closer to war Iran.
