This is beautiful and thanks for sharing! I lived next to a muslim couple growing up and when 9/11 happened they were ust as horrified as the rest of the U.S. You cannot limit your perception of an entire group of people based on the actions of a few. No one likes a stereotype!

Every muslim nation is not being drone attacked by the United States everyday. However, there are extremist muslims blowing themselves up in crowded Iraqi markets killing muslims, spraying bullets into a mosque, assassinating and beheading people at parties, etc...

I have been there (egypt for work, 2 months). and guess what..they are normal people like anyone else. 99% of the people I met and hung around with was exceptionally friendly, spoke of their very normal hopes and goals, (my collegue was considering the PS2 that just came out, was trying to figure out how to skip mandatory military training and just get married to his girl...wow, radical)

You studied to have better understanding and your anger was removed.

Oh boy! That sure makes me feel better! That means we only have approximately 5.5 million to worry about. I sure wish we could get some help from our "moderate" Muslim friends to bring these few extremist Muslims to the forefront, so they could be properly dealt with. I feel that stoning them to death would be fine, but that would certainly require an awful lot of damn rocks!

Good to know, that there is a movement amongst those in the middle east too.

Guess they have just as little power over their leaders, as we in the west have over ours. I'd have liked nothing more, than to stop the bombardments that have been made ... my heart has bled for 12 years.

But neither do I condone something like what happened in Lybia or Egypt. If the people of Islam are truly not like this, then they should step up and do what we in the west have not been able to do. Take them out of office, and put people in there that have a different mind. Peacefully, over time ... hopefully, we'll manage to do the same over here, with time.
