I have nothing against Americans, but the prevailing attitude of overkill and chest thumping is what gets you into so many scrapes with foreign people.

Others have rights too. If you were Libyan you might be a bit angry as well.

Dude... if this story is true, if marines are going over there, and they happen to get heavily attacked (God forbid), I wonder how the rest of the military, or the rest of our country for that matter, will feel about it.

well....they said only "50 marines", and lybians will believe it.

It sickens me that 1) the media even reports this regardless of getting a heads-up. It puts those soldiers and other peoples lives in danger. and 2) why is someone on the inside even telling the media about this when they know the media's going to let the cat out of the bag?

Personally I don't think regular people should know about ANY military operations until after they've happened (RIGHT after they happen would be ideal). I'd rather not be informed until after the fact if it's going to put lives on either side at risk.

All the bad guys have to do these days is pay attention to american news outlets to know exactly what our military is up to all over the world, almost up to the minute. I don't like it. I mean I love being in formed as much as the next guy, but alot of people around the world hate us, and we can't really just go online and find up to the day military of Russia, or China, or Iran or anyone else.......just America. No..........I don't like it at all.

This would be a typical move of the US, I don't blame them but I don't want the US gov to use this as an excuse to have a war, they should of got that USA personnel out of there when this # happened.

Come on Obama that is obvious or at least reinforce it a lot with extra troops if their is trouble happening.
