like jesus/buddha powers? yeah probably rare though.
lesser powers? small telekinesis, predicting the future, reading minds- all real and not very hard to accomplish if you make it a priority

I think HIGHER advance ABILITIES & SCIENCES ARE present and can be perceived as magic by some objective reality observers.

It depends on what type of magic(k) you're describing. If you're talking about illusions and hocus pocus, then yes, I would agree with you...

True magic(k) is the science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with your will, and yes, in my experience it is very real!

If we endeavor to change ourselves, we change our perceptions and in turn change our "realities"

Some would argue that Magick is just a different type of science. Personally, I'd love for it to be real and for it to be something that I could manipulate/work with, but it is my belief that in this day and age the way the world is configured is not conducive to such things.

We're not talking about hocus pocus, I'm speaking of Magick like what Moses had possessed from being taught in Egypt by the Hierophants, then because of that he was able to save his people. Well I have learned the secrets of the universe and that the universe itself is mental, its called the All Mind. I'm connected with it, as we all are... Let me tell you, Magick is REAL. I reccomend reading "Self Initiation and Golden Dawn Magic", its a very great book.

Yes, as a Pagan (Practicing 'Solitary' Witch - 23yrs) I know 'Magick' is real but what many fail to realize is that it's relative to the situation it is being aimed at or structured for ... real magick is the human manipulation of the sublties of energy in nature (don't mistake the word subtle for weak ... that's where many fall foul).

Not exactly. To me, magic is another word for "science of the future".

Cellphones, airplanes, touchscreens, lasers, lighters, toilets, flashlights, video games, computers, cameras, ear phones, xrays, and thermal viewing would all seem like magic to Egyptians. But it would be, in fact, science of the future.

Metaphysics, a science we haven't cracked open much because we don't have the necessary tools. But someday we will...just like with James Cameron's "Avatar", which had to wait 10 years for the technology to catch up to it.

Thank you. So many people misunderstand the wiccan arts. I spoke to a gentleman last night who said that he stands in very particular spots because charges come through the ether and fill him with energy. He was fairly intoxicated, so I can't be sure, but the fact that he just came out with it is a good sign...I think.

It's good that you have discovered the GD and it is definitely a great set of meta-programming tools. I've studied it over the years myself...

If there's one bit of advice I can give to you, that would be to approach it with an agnostic viewpoint, and to try to not form convictions and set beliefs about any of it. Having a sense of humour also will help a lot too...

There are many mental institutions full of people who delved into the occult too much to quickly, and thought they had discovered the secrets of the universe... Make haste slowly!

I think that magic(k) is real for those who believe it to be real, perhaps. Some people say that enough people believing in something with faith can cause that power/deity/whatever to manifest into reality. Some people suspect that the power of creativity and imagination can create physical manifestations from whatever anomalous energy source within our life force. This is why the control and disciplines of human thought is very important, because if this is true, people can inadvertently manifest from nightmares or hateful thoughts. Maybe this is why governments and organizations around the world seem to be dumbing humans down and discouraging creativity and the arts in public schools. Maybe this is why the rainforests are being cut down and "illegal" drugs are banned: because certain plants and substances, when ingested/taken, can alter states of consciousness --expanding awareness, perception and creative power within humans. If people could tap into these different levels and dimensions of reality, then reality might be manipulated from these other dimensions/altered states. Imagine if everyone suddenly had this power? Mass war until only a few remained. Maybe this is part of the great human catastrophe of the ancient past and why we are a species with amnesia about our origins.

So, is magic(k) real? Maybe, maybe not, but I would bet that if it is real, a person would certainly have to believe in it to employ it.

That may be my fate eventually. Sacred geometry, the Ra Material, harmonics and several other sources have compiled, within my mind, a vast universal web that feeds into itself infinitely. And the madness comes from knowing that our world has thrown itself straight through the wall and into the basement, where all the rats and spiders are biting and infecting it.

I have seen the natural course, which shows me exactly how unnatural we've become. Someday, I may end up in the loony bin, just because it breaks me.

Your statements are not provable, and saying things like that will simply get you labelled as a crazy person.

Once again, my advice is to avoid forming set beliefs and convictions. If you're going to try to have a decent discussion about magick, you should perhaps at least attempt to communicate in e-prime.

I think this is the work of the devil, how does anyone explain this.
