Who does this woman think she is Rush Limbaugh? If you are talking about the GOP before Reagan I would agree it would be nice to see a return of true conservatives.

Laura Ingraham is right – the GOP does need to be abandoned and this should be a give-me election. The reason we keep getting these moderates is because the GOP has written off conservatives and has strayed from what made it great.

I agree with your statement:

We need to find a party that represents what America used to be about.

I’m not sure how to accomplish this but, as a fellow Tea Party member, you and I know that the current path of the GOP is not representative of our values.

Interesting. I switched from republican a few years ago. The party had just gone too crazy for me. For me, it began with Pat Robertson and the Moral Majority. It then just spiraled out of control. I do not see the need to stuff morality-religion based agenda into Governance...separation of church and state.

I believe in the third largest and fastest growing political party. I believe in fiscal responsibility and social freedom. And...I believe this party will soon overtake the Republicans.

But that is just my opinion.

Shut all the Parties down. Get rid of the Money influence. Have the Networks slot about 30hrs of debates and legit questions to as many parties (however they want to name themselves) and open the "Democrazy" up. Yes, I said Democrazy because that is what it is right now.

These two parties are now Multi Million Dollar Corporations in there own right. Just look at the Money raised between both parties. Its a huge figure and gets bigger with every election.

How can we blame them right?? We have been letting them get away with this for a long time and the people have turned there backs and not paid attention because we get our New Shiny Ipads, Ipods, Cars, SUV's, Computers, Gym Memberships, Houses, Fancy Clothes, etc. Don't live for the Money live for your Lives. Money is not the most important thing in this World no matter how you look at it. I have a best friend who says "Money makes the World Go Round". I cant say he is wrong because he believes that but I always believe Money is what you make it, and making it is not as important and seeing that fact gives you a true perspective on life and what IS important. It helps you "live within your means".

The GOP doesn't need gimmicks, it needs to not be such an "F-You" to its voter base; look at what the neo-cons running the party are proposing! They intentionally alienate potential voters by spewing bigoted rhetoric calling for women to lose rights to their body, stating gays should be denied equal rights (I.E. gay marriage), saying that women don't deserve equal pay as men! They alienate LEGAL Hispanic Americans by promoting a racially charged campaign to secure the border and exile illegal immigrants! It's as if they are trying to secure the vote of one demographic: Irrational, religiously fanatic, racist, sexist, homophobic white males over the age of 40.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that hot button issues quickly polarize people, so why focus so much attention on non-issues like abortion and gay marriage? The economy is going to hell and whether gay people can marry or women can legally have abortions is NOT GOING TO HAVE ANY EFFECT ON THE ECONOMY.

The GOP states that the Economy is the most important issue of this election, yet they don't offer anything other than Mitt Romney's staple, "I RAN DAT BUZNEZZ AND CREATED DEM JAWBZ DAWG" rhetoric. If the republicans were TRYING to win, they would recruit people who aren't brain atrophied to run their campaigns.

You want the GOP to conform to the liberal agenda!!

NOPE! That’s not what the OP meant!

You have your own party that represents your twisted values….be glad!

I want a party that represents MY twisted values and the GOP isn’t it!

And by the way, the right supports equal pay.

Grassroots. We need to forego the big ticket arenas and return to the smaller venues. Get people, any people, all people interested in taking their country back from the clowns that have hijacked it!

Well the grassroots Tea Party is all I know! TTP the media discusses isn’t my group!

This presidential race is LOST. I’ve said many times that the time to break from the GOP is right after this election. I asked in a thread a week ago “where is the movement for conservative Americans to break from the GOP and the two-party fraudulent monopoly because I want to sign up!!!"

I hope Romney wins. If he does, we shouldn't rest on our laurels though. We need to fight AS hard as if Obama won, to get our message out and to keep people motivated.

Either way, the "message" is loud and clear.

We the people have been ignored.

If the dems and repubs are college football conferences, the dems are the SEC and is getting larger and the repubs are the Big East. Abraham Lincoln would be rolling over in his grave knowing that his party has become the modern day Nazi party.

The republican party is so disgraceful that they are just blatantly flaunting the fact that they serve the interest of the super rich. More and more Americans have caught on that the republican party, through its own selfishness, has left the average person behind and this is why people are leaving the party by the droves.

I say shut down this party today. The longer these people are around, the more harm they are to this country and this world.

I’m not so sure….did you watch the video I linked?

We the people have been ignored.

We have! And CONSERVATIVES especially have been ignored AGAIN in this election.

I was thinking the Republicans were the BIG 12....some leave (MU, NU, aTm, CO) hoping for success, but don't get it, others join looking for something (TCU, WV), no one likes pandering to the rich money (Texass) but keep doing it for fear of losing Upper Middle Class status (Oklahoma) or at least hoping to get out of the trailer park (Oklahoma State).

Boomer Sooner!!!!!

On a serious note she has a point. I reregistered nonaffliated about 4 years ago. I don't like Mitt all that much, but don't think the country can take another year of O.

Whats funny is that some of you think things will get better if one or the other wins, respectively. Were screwed either way. If the Repubs cant beat Obama, its because Mitt wasnt meant to wn, and vise versa.

And while you argue about it, other, more viable candidates are out there who most like and more closely represent the will of the American people as a whole, but all you care about are the two guys they shove in your face, presenting a false dichotomy.

The problem with the GOP is they wanna constantly play the "nice guy", then tell us not to criticize the party when crap is going bad. They wanna hide their heads in the sand and hope the rest of us will as well, and ignore the problems, or placate us with "things will get better, you'll see"
The GOP is broken, time to toss out the trash.
Isn't the definition of insanity that no matter how many times you do the same thing over and over and expect different results?
That's the problem Goddess Laura is addressing. If they screwed up one election, why continue to let these guys run another election?
If you or I screwed up at our job, we'd get fired, the same should be done with these idiots.

What happened to true leadership?

It got bought with a lot of money and then, later down the road, got criticized by Laura Ingraham. That woman is a twit. She's as blind to reality as the rest of them. She may be a talk show host but she thinks like your typical politician in that she thinks elections should be won by buying and talking your way into it all. Forget about knowing what needs to be done and knowing how to do it.........buy it instead. It's the American way right?

I'm sorry, but American politics are screwed. At least the one's at the top. The person who gets elected should be the person who gets up and says " The only way the economy will recover is when it collapses completely and then rebuilds from scratch."

In other words, the next President should be the person who says what needs to be said. The truth.

And when the collapse comes, the one's on top who made that mess should all be put on an island somewhere so they can be happy buying and selling each other for the rest of their miserable lives.

You guys are losing because the GOP is pandering to conservatives and alienating moderates.

The unholy alliance with the religious nuts and the corporatists is why the GOP is hopelessly

confused.

Not to mention that you guys buy your own lies... It is one thing to lie, it is another to be blinded

by them.

I saw it, and starred it

I'm with you, the whole thing is totally corrupt. Politicians get elected for the sake of getting elected, not because they actually believe they can change a damn thing. Even if some bright eyed newbie gets into Washington, they are soon corrupted by the old guard. Here in lies the problem, both parties have been entrenched in Washington for so long that they have deemed themselves infallible. BOTH parties allow the rich to write their own rules, BOTH parties manipulate the media to further their own agendas, BOTH partied throw away billions of OUR tax dollars on god knows what, BOTH parties are scandalous and corrupt. The bottom line is no current politician that cares one bit if you lose your job, your house, or anything else about you. They all will lie right to your face to get a vote, the part that gets me...is everyone knows this, but we all keep going back and forth like robots Left is right, Right is wrong, Right is right, Left is wrong blah blah blah. It's all a rigged game to keep the public running in circles and not looking at the root cause of the problems that face us today.

Laura Ingram is part of the problem.

She is a Republican gate keeper just like Limbaugh, Hannity, Oreilly etc.

All of these establishment minions had a chance to support the one candidate who never lied, never switched positions (with the exception of capital punishment), never compromised his morals: Ron Paul.

But these gatekeepers are more interested in protecting special interests, the Military Industrial Complex, siding with the banks and the Federal Reserve, ignoring and or embracing the ever increasing TSA style police state, etc.

She could have done the right thing and supported the most decent man to enter politics in decades but she didnt.

She should shaddup and sit down like everyone else who ridiculed this man. She bowed down to her puppet masters. Now close your hole and deal with the economic collapse and police state that Ron Paul has been screaming about for decades.
