We're probably a little more concerned with Near Earth Objects than Near Jupiter Objects. I dont give an F what happens to Jupiter, as long as it keeps protecting us from those some of those big ole impacts

Or........they knew it was going to hit jupiter and it wasnt a big deal.........
This titan of a planet sees thousands if not hundrds of thousands of impacts a year..........
Im just not seeing as how this is some conspiracy to keep us in the dark?
I mean im glad jupiter is there........and im not trying to be condescending at all so dont mistake me there, i guess im just not seeing this as an issue......

I don't think we monitor the entire solar system with the intensity that we monitor earth.
Besides, how do you know they didn't know it was coming? Maybe they did. Everyone's way too distracted by Mars to care about some space junk hitting Jupiter. That's just academic, has no effect on anything to do with us.
